Do not listen to people by saying that this product is tacky it is not. The Picture looks good but the real thing is so much better. Also 17.99 may seem a lot of money, but it is absolutley worth it. The sound quality is so much better than all other headphones that if you connect it to your iPod or MP3 half the volume with Skullcandy' is the full volumwe with the original headphones that you get wih your original music player

Picked up a pair of Lowriders, and I was quite surprised by how good they were. They're light, sound is good, I like a lot of bass, and I did have to turn on the bass boost on my Zen, but when I say the bass is a bit lacking, it doesn't mean the sound is tinny. The sound is actually very good, just if you want a lot of bass, you might want to use the bass boost on your player. br / br /Overall, comfy, good sound, lightweight and very satisfactory.

SkullCandy lowrider headphones. br /These lowriders were a complete surprise. I had expected a hard, base-driven, sound. Perhaps, aggressive. A pre-judgment on my part. Mainly based on the upfront name, `skullcandy` But quite the opposite sound is provided. It is a very open sound. And in all fairness, it did take me a few sessions, to get used to them. br / br /Stero definition is very good. Imagine the individual sounds; guitar, drums, base, vocal, strings, etc. All able to be picked out on the `soundstage` provided by the low riders. Ok, if you want a blasting bass, you will be disappointed. The base is there. But portrayed only, as it was recorded. It is not boosted up, as in the case of many headphones, for that current price range. I have a smiliar pair of sony phones, with are base enhanced. While they do give base clout to the songs, they do tend to provide a slight blanket of sound, over the rest of the music. This doesn't happen, with these lowriders. The vocals especially, are really strong, and well centred. The drums, to, are a delight. They are given a real, strong impact sound. Not sounding in any way, dense or muffled. Most probably as they would sound in a recording studio. I found for many songs, I did not need the volume too high. All the definition was easily heard, even at low levels. I would say, they are equally at home on classical tracks, as much as current day pop. I listen to a lot of early rock n roll, and in some cases, these made the recordings sound as dated as indeed they were. They are good hooked up to digital radio, and the MP3 player. My mobile phone has a base boost, and if I need that, I link the lowriders up. But generally, I am enjoying the `pure` and `invigorating` sound these headphones provide. br / br /I did wonder if they were slightly on the flimsy side. But only time will tell, how robust they are. But wearing them is a light, and comfortable experience. br /
