Relatively expensive for what it is, but also reliable as befits the Sony name, and will charge other mp3 players. I've used it to charge my Sony Walkman, iPod Shuffle, and Creative Zen Stone, all without a problem. It looks exactly like the photo: it's a simple plug with a slot at its top, into which you insert your mp3's USB cable. Very neat, very simple, and it works without any worries.

Like other people, I previously purchased a similar non Sony charger that claimed to charge my NWZ-A818 but didnt, if fact it seems that none of the aftermarket chargers are capable of charging the Sony player. br /This however does charge it, you just need to plug the USB cable that you got with the player into the bottom of the plug. br / br /If you are thinking, should I buy this or save a few quid by buying an unbranded charger, my advice would be to buy this as I have not heard of any after market chargers actually working with the Sony player and you can get free postage with this one!

I bought a cheaper generic charger for my Sony Walkman NWZ-A818 and it wouldn't recognise the player. This charger works perfectly.

Bought this to charge my sony mp3 player on holiday. my player plugs direct into a usb to charge and when you use this charger the display on the player faces the wall so you can't see it! Bit of a shame, works fine however

Charges not only Sony Walkman but everything I have plugged into it so far. Better to purchase this than the cheap clones available which will not charge up half as many devices. Also arrived in 2 days from Indigo starfish.
