Built-in rechargeable battery, lightweight design, it can be used in a wide number of applications, from operating as a portable TV around the house to entertaining children on holidays.Please note that there may be difficulty to receive freeview TV signal by the included portable antenna in some areas where the signal is not sufficiently strong. This is due to that the freeview service (www.freeview.co.uk) in the UK does not fully support portable TV antenna at present. The reception will be improving along with the progress of Digital Switchover Program (http://www.digitaltelevision.gov.uk). A signal amplifier or booster may improve reception capability in regions where the signal is marginally strong. (Please note that reception capability may also be affected by various factors such as proximity to freeview TV/digital radio transmitters, tall building structures, thick walls, ceilings and etc.). A rooftop TV aerial may be required to watch freeview channels in regions where the signal is insufficient for a portable antenna.

This will not work without a proper aerial, therefore is not really portable. You can use it as a 'set-top box' to turn your analogue TV at home into a digital one to pick up Freeview etc. but these boxes cost next to nothing these days in the shops, so you're better off either getting a cheap one from a store or buying a proper TV with a built-in one.
Don't be fooled by the positive descriptions of this thing, which were probably written by employees of the the vendor. Its not worth the money.

Plug it into an outdoor, roof top ariel and its magnificent, plug it into anything else and it is pointless. Portable suggests it can be watched on the move, but I can't, for one, take a chimney on the train with me.

hello i got this product and i think its good the signal is ok and very good. i got a telecam antenna inside
digital antenna but very good. I'm going to ask why they don't have a red and green and yellow and blue and a txt button
which will let you go into digital text services. I recommend this product, a smash hit for kids and everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The set i bought is realy good, i love the amount of features that you get with it, very good value for the money.
Only one minor problem though, it could do with having a better aerial supplied with it, the one supplied doesn't pick up a very good signal, even in a high signal area.
But, i would recommend this product to others.
