Fantastic player at fantastic price November 10, 2008 Ms. J. Williams (Wales) Having owned an Ipod that continually crashed, and a Zen that always froze this player is fantastic.Easy to use, fantastic sound quality, great display and good quality head phones that stay in my ears when jogging! Its a real bargain. Some people have complained about the charging time but I have never found a problem. I listen to and from work about 1 hour everyday and I probably charge once a week. This player is a cut abouve the Sony Walkman and most players in this price range on the market.
Sony and Audible book files. November 5, 2008 Gingermagician (Wales) I have an a Sony A818 and am extremely pleased with it's performance. The earphones that come with it are very good and the sound quality is excellent. I am currently however looking to buy another MP3 player (iPod or Creative) as Sony does not support Audible book files. This is very frustrating as I'm very happy with the A818 but I'm also keen to subscribe and listen to Audible files. So be aware Sony does not look like it intends to support Audible files anytime soon, if this is important to you don't buy a Sony, get a Creative.
Nice! October 23, 2008 Mr. Nicky G. Woodward (UK) Just bought the 8GB version from The Sony Centre and have been listening to it for a few hours. Dead simple to put songs on and the sound quality is cracking! Model is obsolete now, so grab one while you can!
Sony Mp3. October 22, 2008 Mcfly_girlie 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Firstly my sister bought this in black, because her other sony mp3 was outdated and pratically broken. It was superb, the graphics on the video are excellent. The quality of the music was also superb, there are many settings you can change it to depending on the quality of the song (eg Studio, Live, Club, Arena, Matrix and Karaoke). Using this is also superb because if the song is really bad quality you can make it sharper. br /You can store pictures on this mp3 which is superb when i want to show my friends. br /There is a "hold" button, which prevents from using the battery and prevents from switching on and off from accidently pressing buttons. br /If the mp3 is on "pause" for rougly about a minute it automatically switches itself off - Which i think is brilliant! br /The mp3 itself is small and sleek, and so MUCH easier to use than a ipod.. they're only buttons on it. br /The signs on the mp3 are very clear and precise it's easy to follow and easy to put songs on.. Just plug it in, drag and drop. BUT if you want a playlist you would have to use a program, any program would do. I use windows media and it works fine. br /The screen is rather large, which is what i love about it. br /There are two tiny screws on the back which on my sisters one fell off instantly, yet no harm has happened to it. br /If you drop the mp3 nothing really happens it's quite a solid piece of metal. (considering i drop mine ALL the time). br / br /The only bad point i have with it.. Is the fact that every 2 weeks to 1 month i have to reset it. Probably from where ive dropped it. br /Ive only had it from April. But personally i dont see this as a major problem. br /Also the earplugs which came with it, aren't that good and dont fit in your ears very well. (It might just be me though!) br /Also previously to charge my mp3 i have had a charger which plugs into a plug. This time they only give you a USB. Which is rather annoying, but because i have a sony adaptor to a plug there is no problem. br / br /Overall i think this mp3 is amazing. Totally better than a i-pod and all other mp3s! br /
WOW October 15, 2008 Jamie Chalmers (Glasgow, Scotland) BUY THE 8GB ONE !!!! br / br /As like others i have bought this and thought, wish i got the 8G version. br / br / br /The Sound - Amazing with Sennheiser in ear stereo headphones (better than the sony ones provided) br / br /Extremely Loud, this mp3/mp4 player can go loud loud loud! assuming you have the decent headphones to listen to it at high volume. br / br /at this price it really is a STEAL, my mates got an ipod nano, this blows it out the water and is smaller. br / br /good configuration on EQ and settings br / br /Plays video very well, and music even better. br / br /Drag and drop so easy to upload/download and sync with other software. br / br /Good battery life for a 35min charge br / br /A+ Product br /
