I just purchased this machine from Amazon and have to agree with the majority of the reviews - this is an excellent machine that works perfectly. br /I had one problem with the wireless setup but this was down to my set up. The DIVX support was fantastic and they resolved the problem for me. This machine is the best gadget in my house and the after sales support is by far the best i have come across. br /the machine is superb with excellent video and audio quality with no lag or pauses whatsoever. br /Should be 5 stars but unable to amend from 4.

I have been looking at this product for a few months and decided to take the plunge and buy it. Well what can I say- it is absolutely fantastic (I only really needed it to stream my music and photo collection) very simple to set up and use just the product I was looking for!!

I used to have a tivo. br /Then i got a V+ br /But now i can unleash the full power of all my stored recordings on the pc through this amazing box. br / br /Setup is as simple as it gets- play the cd on the pc and then attach the box to the telly. br / br /It does not get any easier than this. br / br /I have now spent all weekend geting square eyes watching my photos to music and enjoying content I had forgotten that I ever owned. br / br /These machines are amazing - i say get one if you can !

I had read loads of comments on the DSM-330, some positive other not so good but I thought how bad can it be - on the 27th Feb I ordered the little box of tricks and it arrived speedily the next morning. I hastily opened the box like a little boy at Christmas and ran with my to my home server, I also recently installed the New Windows HomeServer OS on a custom built machine and transfered all my media and other items to this massive storage machine with contains just over 6 Tribytes so infomation now. I was a little upset to discover that as the HomeServer is built on Server 2003 technology the installation disk instantly rejected the installation procedure as unsupported. Thankfully there is a Beta Release for the Get Connected software available from the DIVX guys so I downloaded that and it installed in a flash with no issues. I mapped my folders and grtabbed the box and ran to the lounge. Setting up the WiFi link was a breeze and literally within minutes I was off - streaming all my content to my TV smoothly and cleanly. This freed up one of my laptops which had been used for sometime to perform the same task however using a laptop was not the best use of an expensive piece of computer equipment. br /I now fully intend to purchase more of this box for the other TVs in the house so they can all be linked up. And with the free Dr Divx software you can encode all over the media inclusive of your DVD collection into Divx format which is great - Well done DIVX (it is a shame about the stage6 service closing down but as this happened on the same evening as my box arrived I only got access for a very short time so I will not miss it particularly however from my I hear it was a great service one I am sure will be rivived at some point in the future). br / br /Well worth the money :)

I was a bit sceptical when I first looked at this as previous attempts to view PC media via the TV had produced very poor results. After reading various reviews here decided to try it and there is no doubt that this box does what it says on the tin. Setup is very easy; software on the PC first, then connect the DSM-330. I had no problem at all in loading the DIRs of my films, music, and photos. On playing my MPEG4 avi files quality was very good with a 1.2gb film lasting 2hours 30 minutes, no judder, pauses or other nasties. Fast forward reverse and pause all worked without problems. Viewing photos was also very very good. All in all for those of us who keep a lot of media on a computer a must have buy. My setup was a sky netgear router hard wired to the PC (3.2gb processor and 2gb memory) and wireless to the DSM330. I have not attempted to play HD files yet but I suspect I will need to link the DSM 330 by R45 for that so it would be good if Dlink came out with a 802.11n for better range and bandwith.
