An excellant to charge your ipod and listen to your music at the same time. Compared to the other more expensive sound systems available for the ipod this one combines affordability with a satisfactory sound output. I have had no problems with this item and would recommend it.

Bought the speakers on the strength of other reviews having spent an afternoon plugging my nano into many different units in the electrical emporiums of Tottenham Court Road. Was a little worried about the 3 week stated delivery time, but suspected this was conservative and wasn't disappointed; 9 days later and they arrived at my door.pMy two worries where slightly unfounded; p1. The volume was as good as a model in the shops, but was limited to only docking the nano, (I'll want to upgrade at some point).p2. The sound was (from memory) as good , admittedly the more expensive ones have far superior sound. (as mentioned in other reviews changing the EQ on your I-Pod will help)pMy two niggles (finding and operating the volume buttons was not an issue!): p1. The first time I used it, the sound wouldn't come through, I had to use the aux jack point and the headphone socket, but on removing the jack the sound came through sweetly when the I-Pod was docked. I can only assume there was an override on the aux jack that was depressed in manufacturing, and not released until I inserted and removed the jack. (10 mins of disappointment to work that one out!)p2. The cradle is a little floppy, but it does take all sorts of I-Pods and (as with all of these docking stations, the I-Pod is a little hard to control, once docked, although where I put it will make a difference)pThese are my first impressions and I'm not dissapointed, it doesn't feel or look too cheap, in fact it looks quite good, even has a blue led on the power switch behind the unit.pI haven't thoroughly road-tested it and I do wonder how long it will last

I have been very impressed with my new Intempo speakers. It's a perfect way of unleashing your iPod without breaking the bank.pI got an iPod for Christmas - loved it - but was faced with the problem that I don't really walk around listening to music through headphones all that often. I tend to listen to music out loud at home or in the car. So I needed a cheap way of unlocking the potential of my iPod.pAnd this fits the bill in that I can now play my music out loud, and it charges the iPod as an added bonus.pDon't get me wrong - I'm still saving the pennies for a fully fledged 'stereo replacement' set of speakers. These speakers will never give you the bass-rich, full-definition, fill-the-room kind of power or performance. For the price, they certainly more than fulfill my expectations, and give me a very usable stop-gap until I can afford something more accomplished. pThe downsides: p* slightly tinny sound ( whilst there is no equaliser on the speakers, you can improve this through the iPod itself. Navigate to 'EQ' and then select 'small speakers', 'reduce treble' or 'increase bass').br* slight background hum at higher volumesbr* slight hiss if you're charging the iPod in the cradle, but are not playing music through it at the time.br* my iPod (30gb) doesn't fit completely snug in the cradle. This is slightly annoying when you want to press the iPod whilst it's cradled, as it wobbles backwards.pGiven the niggles.
