Hi br / br /I bought this product to use it with my 30gb ipod. It looks good and sound is really good and clear, which is OK for a normal size room. It's amazing that you get for such a price, but I found that the speakers doesn't have any cover, which might damage the speaker. Hope this review helps you in taking a decision.
You get what you pay for. January 16, 2008 Eve (stoke on trent, staffs United Kingdom) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
First off I had to return this. I can't believe these are supposed to be 6watts, I have a portable cd player which is half the wattage and it's actually louder? br / br /On the positive side, if you're looking for something easy to set up and will fill a smallish room (travelling?) and acts as a charger this might be right for you. But plastic made me feel it was really too fragile to use when travelling. br / br /However if you don't own an ipod your mp3 player won't fit snuggly in to it, you will have to use the adaptor. Also after a while leaving my Creative Zen plugged in to it my mp3 player froze and had to be reset. br / br /The tone is passable, not much base and a little hissy at the higher end. br / br /But it is 15- 17 If you want a bit of power and quality tone you'll need to spend more cash so for that it's getting 3stars as it might be right up your street, personally I'd rate it 2stars.
Neat package January 14, 2008 Nick Grant (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this player on the strength of the reviews. I just needed a player to play my itunes in my workshop and all the ones Ive seen in Comet etc have been very, very expensive. Im sure may be better but 70- 100 they cant be that much better br / br /I paid 15.99 with supersaver free delivery so what a bargain. Worked out the box. The volume controls are dinky but work fine, very simple. br /Im not a hifi expert but it sounds fine to me. Some have said they hear a hiss, not on mine and when the music plays who would hear it anyway. br /Perfect for my needs, why pay huge sums more. Very pleased, go and buy one

Best suited to an iPod Classic, these attractive, compact speakers offer adequate sound quality for the asking price, matching, and sometimes beating, that of models twice as expensive and beyond. But this is not high fidelity we're dealing with here, and those looking for perfect sound will be left disappointed. The docking station could do with a new adapter for the third gen iPod Nano to give extra security (clumsy users could end up damaging the Nano, the docking station's connector, or both), but otherwise it's a solid budget purchase. br / br /Other MP3 players are less well served, but that's often the case with alternatives.
