4 out of 5 stars What a difference!   March 1, 2006

I was just at the point of sending these headphones back due to the poor sound quality and no bass. Just read the reviews and one of them above mentioned how to insert these phones by pulling up on the ear, opening up the canal and inserting the phones into the ear. WHAT a differences this has made. The sound has been transformed – much better than the supplied headphones. Shame that the item does not come with any instructions – I really did think that I had pushed them well into the ear ..... Worth every penny - a real bargain!

5 out of 5 stars A decent pair of earphones...   February 27, 2006

I picked a pair of these little blighters up to replace the Sony MDR-EX71SL earphones that I owned until a recent, bizarre cable-chopping accident. I must admit that the praise that has been heaped upon them (for the best part) is fully warranted. For a significant saving in £ sterling, these earphones offer sound that is both brighter and offers up more ooomph(!) than the Sony competition, while being more substantial in the hand. Thankfully they're just as comfortable (or uncomfortable if you prefer) as the Sony pair I owned previously so there's no added torment.

Admittedly they lack the added extras that the Sony offers, like the little pouch and ear-piece holder, and the one piece cable might not be everyone's preference, but I've still got the bits that came with my old earphones, so I'm alright!

3 out of 5 stars Good, but only if you sit still!   February 27, 2006

Reasonable earphones for the money, but no good if you are on the move! Any light bump to the cables (e.g. off your clothing) is amplified in the earpiece.

5 out of 5 stars Quality and Value!   February 26, 2006

These earbuds are solidly made, provide a surprising level of noise cancellation (I can't hear people talking on the bus for example) and the sound is as good as I would expect from anything in this price range, and probably anything under £50. Definately recommended for anyone looking for decent earbuds without spending large amounts of money. I was skeptical about having earbuds that 'plug-in' to your ears, but the alternative sizes provided are good for me and comfortable to wear for at least an hour (I haven't tried them for longer). They are FAR superior to earbuds supplied with many portable devices and they will not fall out of your ears - unless you yank at them!
