i'm happy with this great value little dvd player, i received it four days after I ordered it,which is really great and it plays my region 1 dvds,with no problem.it's neat too,so, if you're a bit short of room it's ideal.I suppose the one thing that was confusing when I opened my parcel,my dvd player has a region 2 sticker on the back,so i thought it woud'nt work with my region1 imports but it does.

Sony DVP-NS36 multiregion player arrived very quickly -from there it was all downhill.........I bought this to play the wealth of American DVD's I own,[ having changed our TVand DVD system, we lost our 'chipped DVD ]:( br /So US DVDdidn't play straight away, straight out of the box -I do own a Kameleon, but different model, so I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Great. Looks okay though.

I have to say that the DVD player arrived in 48 hours (thank you Amazon) and the player was multi player enabled as soon as I got it out of the box (no fiddling with codes as per Leon's review) - Handles DVIX files with ease - I am very pleased.

Some places are saying this player is multi-region, when in fact it is not! br / br /I found A site, where you can do it with an one for all remote control. br / br /I used a Kameleon URC-8040, and it worked fine. br / br /The code should work with most Sony DVP series. br / br /This was done with a standard 0ne4All remote however, this hack will only work if you have a 'DVD' button on the remote. (I used URC-7730) br / br /1.Turn off the DVD player. (The DVP-NS76H has no standby mode, so will turn itself off completely) br / br /2.Select 'DVD' device on remote. br / br /3.Hold 'MAGIC' button until red light blinks twice. br / br /4.Enter the Sony device code 0533. The remote will now be able to control the DVD player. br / br /5.Now you have to program buttons 1 to 5 with the following codes:(These codes will override the chip in the DVD player making it Multi-region) br / br /1)00189 br /2)00255 br /3)00095 br /4)00221 br /5)00079 br / br /4.Firstly Hold 'MAGIC' button until red light blinks twice. br / br /5.Type 994. (This will tell the controller you are programming individual buttons)The red light blinks twice again. br / br /6.Press 'MAGIC' again. The red light will blink once br / br /7.Enter one of the 5 digit codes from above followed by the button number you are assaining it to(eg MAGIC + 00189 + 1) The red light blinks twice. br / br /8.NB. YOU MUST REPEAT STEP 4-6 BEFORE YOU TYPE IN EVERY CODE . br / br /9.After all codes have been entered (1-5), with the DVD player off, Press 1,2,3,4,5 on the One4All remote and the DVD player should start up and the word "SUCCESS" scrolls along the display window. br / br /10.I didn't have to but you can Press 1,2,3,4,5 - and the player shuts down and now works fine on any region code! br / br /NB.Some older One4All remotes may accept only three codes: in that case remove the two leading 00's. br / br /Thanks To Sloth br / br /Dvd player works fine, plays all stuff I sling at it. br / br /Hope this Thred was useful. br / br /Enjoy br /Leon

I have been looking around for a DVD /Divx player for a while now and I happened to stumble upon this puppy and I can't rate this enough. Plays all DVD's to a very high level to skipping or pausing. Plays all Divx files Hassle free. If you're looking to buy DVD /Divx player I highly recommend this. br / br /Only thing that I would say, its more cosmetic than anything, this that the DVD player is black but the remote that you get with it is beige, which they sort of clashed. Would have liked it the same colour. But neither the less it's a fantastic DVD player! br /
