5 out of 5 stars Great headphones for all occasions   August 19, 2007

After being fed up with most of the other types of headphones on the market providing poor quality sound, build or durability, I ordered these headphones based on the strength of the other reviews here on Amazon - and they are all correct. These headphones are great. br /Whether using them in the gym or on the daily commute to and from work (on public transport) they work very well. br /At first they are a little uncomfortable as the orientation of the speakers is not what I was used to (facing forwards opposed to facing into your head like most in-the-ear headphones), but after a while you forget they are there - unless you wear them for long periods, then it starts to ache and hurt a little in the area. br /The fit is very snug and in fact blocks out more background noise than any other headphones I have tried before - something to be wary of when walking around the streets - watch out for that traffic! but great for listening to your favourite tunes. Theres no movement of the headphones, they are a tight fit, the over-the-ear parts of the neck band hold everything in place so you don't have to keep repositioning them or pushing them back inside your ears. br /The sound quality is good and theres no lack of bass for those pumping tracks, the cord is more than long enough and as it comes out of the left hand side only, it doesn't seem to get tangled up so much while you are on the cross trainer etc. and you don't catch it so much. br /The neckband is not a problem either - even if you have a pony tail! it sits underneath and doewsn't cause any problems. I don't even mind the lime green colouring - its kind of funky. br /Overall, recommended for all

4 out of 5 stars Highly recommended for the active listener   August 18, 2007

I purchased these and since then have put them through there paces, I have been out running in rain and hail as well as on a few very hot days. They have withstood Sweat, Rain, Hail and Wind. These Earphones have not fallen out once. br /The only issues i would point out is that the cord is a tad short for my liking and due to the way they fit in your ear they do loose some volume. Other than that these are perfect for active users.

5 out of 5 stars VERY GOOD (PMX 70 SPORT - FIT FOR THE PURPOSE)   August 15, 2007

The PMX 70 Sport earphone get a big thumbs-up from me. For once I am very happy with Sennheiser and their PMX 70 sport earphones because recently, I have had real problems with them and their MX 70 VC sport earphones, they were not fit for the purpose they suggested in there marketing. However, following a confrontation with the UK Sennheiser directors I was given the PMX 70's as a replacement product that better fitted my needs, which were 'to listen to music during sports' -- like the packaging says! br / br /PMX 70 SPORT - FIT FOR THE PURPOSE: In a brief phrase, they work very well. I have tried track sprints, 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m, stretching, ab crunches, a free weights, resistance machines, jogging, road running, treadmill aerobics, circuits, the list goes on. During these activities they stay in the ears like a dream. The problem that i had with my previous MX 70 VC's was that they didn't. However, I've found the PMX 70's to work very will. They are definitely fit for the purpose of delivering music while doing sports. br / br /SOUND: They delivering solid volume, enough to drown out environmental noises if needed. They did sound slightly muffled to me though, delivering very good bass but only adequate treble. However, I use a iPod shuffle for sports because of the convenient small size, but if you have an MP3 player with an equalizer I think maybe you could potentially change all this with careful volume and bass tinkering, in theory, I suppose. br / br /COMFORT: They are very comfortable inside the ears, which was very surprising! there was no need to push them inside the ear to catch the bass and volume. After about 30 seconds I forget I'm wearing them. br / br /COMPETITIVE: I own a few brands of earphones. Compared to Nike / Philips earphones I use with my Nike MP3 player the fit and sound quality of the Sennheiser is exceptional, I think Nike could learn some lessons here. Compared to my Sony earphones once again the fit is superior and the sound delivery system is a league apart. My iPod earphones are quite similar to the Sony experience to be honest, they are okay but in comparison I'll be using the Sennheiser PMX 70 for sport, leaving the lovely little white earbuds for the commute.

4 out of 5 stars Recommended for the gym   August 3, 2007

My comments echo those of many other - great sound and don't fall out as do most in-ear bud types. The head piece is larger than the average head I would suspect (or is is just because I am a woman and therefore have a smaller head?) so it sort of dangles down and catches on collar, short hair, etc which is a little annoying. I find myself on the treadmill looking down most of the time as if I look straight ahead it catches on the collar. After an hour they hurt my ears a bit as the are pressed tight to the bony bit inside your ear rather than sitting in the ear canal. However this was not very noticeable or intolerable. On the whole recommended cos they're a darn sight better than everything else I've purchased, worn once then chucked.

4 out of 5 stars Well pleased for a first timer   July 19, 2007

First time I have gone for running to music so with recently purchased ipod nano and these headphones did a 9 mile run - headphones fitted fine out of the box, sound quality was pretty good and for a first timer nothing felt wrong. Only negative which was probably my cable routing was the sound of cable hitting headphone strap. Will update after further use but first impressions are very good product
