5 out of 5 stars Rocks my kitchen   September 20, 2008

One of the best purchases i ever made on Amazon it fills my kitchen with sound whilst cooking and thats all I could ask for! The design of it is great and the piano black fits in beautifully with my black worktops, we had looked at so many other docks with DAB radio and cd players and when i ordered this i was a little sceptical as it was 100 for just the dock...and now I know why its got great quality sound on it and superb build quality. br / br /The only downside for me is it has a seperate power supply and is not built in but that is not enough for me to give it only 4 stars! br / br /Excellent product.

I was looking for an iPod speaker system and I was considering the Bose until a friend recommended the Klipsch. I then read the reviews for Klisch and Bose both on Amazon and the web in general and performance wise the systems came out pretty close over all. br /In the end I settled for the Klipsch because of the recommedation and the price. I have not been disappointed except for one thing - the bass which several reviewers had commented on - I have to use the base reducer on my Touch having said that the sound quality is phenomenal for a unit of that size and price. The more I listen to it the less I notice the bass and the more I appreciate the sound. br /If you're reading this you are probably thinking about it, give it a go!!

I had heard the Bose unit before on a number of occasions and was never particularly impressed by it so have been searching about for something different for my ipod. I settled on the Klipsch because of the strength of the reviews despite one or two negative ones. The first time I heard the iGroove was when plugged it in at my house and I was not disappointed. It has a very smooth, neutral and balanced sound with no emphasis on any part of the music. There is plently of low end available but this varies dependent on placement - it is worth moving around to find your preferred position. In summary, a great little piece of kit at an amazing price.

4 out of 5 stars Well worth the money   September 8, 2008

I am new to MP3/IPod technology. br / br /When my daughter upgraded to an IPod Touch, she gave me her old player. I then searched for a docking system that would give high quality sound at a reasonable price. br / br /I'm more than pleased with the Klipsch iGroove. It is easy to set up, and works well. br / br /On the downside, it sounds rather 'localised' - like a high quality radio - rather than offering a room filling sound that I hoped for. For this reason, I award only four stars. However, balancing cost and quality, I recommend this system unreservedly. br / br / br / br /

4 out of 5 stars Great bit of kit let down by ...   September 6, 2008

firstly i must point out this is a great bit of kit, with excellent sound quality - however there are a few pit-falls. br / br /Looks = 10/10 ... need say no more other than it's a gorgeous piece of kit. br / br /Sound = 8/10 ... sound is good, but heavy bass can distrort across a wide variety of music. This can be mitigated using the iPods equaliser settings, but isn't convenient (Bass treble on the unit would have been good!) br / br /Usability = 8/10 ... easy to use, however a few quirks - everytime you power on the device it's set at mid-range volume (which is very loud!!). Also, the docking isn't the easiest in the world ... feels a little unsettled! br / br /Durability = 5/10 ... i was a proud owner for 8 months until the iPod stopped docking correctly, in that it would no longer produce sound (unless you tilted it forward an extra 15 degs ... which isn't great, or convenient). To amazon's credit they issued a replacement within 3 days with no fuss ... however, the replacement was DoA :'( br / br /Taking into account all of the above i'll rate as 4 out of 5, as i'm sure i've just been unlucky with the products i've received. br /
