Excellent for the price June 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I go through quite a few pairs of headphones as I am always listening to me iPod. You cannot even compare these to the standard tin cans that are supplied with iPods, I might have listened to them once or twice merely to test in comparison with 3rd party manufacturers but they really are the pits. I have had creative earbuds most recently that went dead in one ear so had to replace with these Sennheiser's. For 13 quid you cannot go far wrong. Although not of the quality of more expensive phones (Shure) they still represent a compromise and on acoustics alone I can easily recommend. The left phone has a shorter cable whilst the right wraps around the back of your neck. For me this is not ideal as I quite like them the same length but I am not getting hung up on that! These phones are supplied with three different rubber adapters - I have kept with the standard mid-size ones as these fit ideally. I listen to a variety of different music - rock, dance, pop, indie, urban and these reproduce sound extremely effectively with good bass throughout. As already stated you really cannot go wrong for the price, plus eco-friendly cardboard packaging :-)
Rubbish! June 19, 2008 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
These earphones fall out of my ears all the time, the plastic edges make funny noises in my ear when they move, and in general they are extremely uncomfortable. The sound quality is fine but the earphones are awful to wear.
Wearing in-ear ear buds June 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just gone through reviews for the Sennheiser 'phones. Many folk seem to have problems fitting them. I too seem to have tiny ear canals and ordinary earphones were painful and kept dropping out. I have the Creative version(v.good). There is a definite correct procedure for inserting this type of 'phone. They work like a quality industrial standard earplug and must be "inserted" thus; with left hand reach over head and pull up and out the top of your right ear. This stretches and opens up your ear canal. Push 'phone in firmly, possibly with a wiggle action, hold in for a couple of seconds to "seat" (you may also find pulling the earlobe outwards gives you a couple extra mm's) gently release your ear while keeping light pressure on 'phone for brief moment. Repeat for other ear. This should achieve a pretty airtight fit. If you rub your fingertips together close up to the ear, you shouldn't be able to hear it. This takes a bit of practice to perfect, but worth it. The only annoying thing is someone is bound to want to talk to you the moment you achieve perfect fit!
Best earphones for under 20! June 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The best earphones I've ever owned! When they are in your ears and you are playing music virtually all external noise is blocked. I use them at work in a noisy open plan office, my colleagues usually have to resort to throwing something at me to get my attention - and I don't listen to my music at that high a level! They are also great at dampening sounds when flying.
The sound from the buds is really rich with lots of bass. I've only come accross a couple of tunes where the bass distorts - but for less than 20 who's complaining?
Poor quality June 7, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Had 2 sets - 1st pair earpiece snapped off 2nd pair - sound started to degrade after a week until it was bearly audible - not worth the money
