Very Good Sound Quality May 19, 2008 These headphones give excellent sound quality. You have to realise that these are ear-canal headphones so you actually have to push them in to your ear. This isn't for everyone and can feel a little strange the first few times that you do it. However, this does mean that you get awesome sound insulation. Wearing these I can sit in a room of people talking with my iPod on only half volume and not be able to hear a word of what anyone else is saying. This has proved very useful at work. The only downside is that you can actually hear yourself walk and eat if you are wearing them.
For anyone that is considering them I would say get them. I couldn't find a better pair in the same price range. These are really cheep for what they are.
Why no headphone protector/holder? May 15, 2008 I just received these yesterday. Great service from Amazon as usual :-)
These are my first ear canal headphones and take a little bit of getting used to. You have to make sure that they are fully "in" your ear, as if they are not the sound is tinny, and I thought that something was wrong with them. This wasn't the case, just give them an extra "push" and all will be well. As I stated before, they are a lot different to non ear canal phones, but I am really impressed with the sound, and the stereo and bass certainly sounds better than my previous phones.
One down point for me is that there isn't any type of holder for the headphones. So I have to wrap the cord around my ipod. I would rather pay a couple of pounds more for a protector for my new headphones. I realise that they do not cost a fortune but they are new, and I would like to look after them for a while! All in all a good buy, but if you have a previous headphone holder don't bin it, use it!!
Excellent... for a few weeks May 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The earphones were amazing at first but I discovered that I had to clean my ears EVERY time I wanted to use them. Yes, they gather ear wax VERY easily and every time I wash the earphones the buds become softer and softer making them flimsy and because of this slip out of my ears constantly. To make things worse, the left earphone stopped working all together recently for some reason... I've gone back to wearing my old crappy earphones. Not happy.
Excellent upgarde of standard iPod headphones March 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are a great, low cost set of headphones. The sound quality right across the spectrum (particularly the bass response)is a major improvement on the standard Apple iPod headphones and the better quality wiring means they don't taffle up as easily as the Apple's. Whilst they can't compare with over-ear phones for sound quality, for listening on the move they are exceptional (in fact, on the March 2008 Which? test, they were the only in-ear 'phones they would recommend). Thanks to the different sized ear piece adaptors that come with the 'phones, they fit well and don't come lose when working out. They are lightweight and surprisingly comfortable given they fit inside the ear canal and they cut out a large percentage of background noise. The eco-friendly packaging is also welcomed - no need to risk personal injury by trying to cut them out of the usual plastic display pack. Excellent value, and supplied within 48 hours of ordering.
cx300 March 20, 2008 Bought these to go with my new Creative Muvo T100 2GB MP3 Player, overall im very pleased with the quality of the playback through them.
My one niggle is that they are difficult to get in the right position, i end up trying to force them through my ear drum to get the sweet spot, but boy when you get them in that sweet spot they sound awsome. (im sure there is a nack to putting them in, but i sure dont know it, and there wasnt any instructions explaining it in my package)
like others i use these while running and i find that they stay in better than the usual in ear head phones, but again they can move a little and cause the quality to drop a little. overall though id highly recommend these at this price
