5 out of 5 stars Fantastic headphones   April 11, 2008
I've just bought a pair of the white CX300's and must confess that I am very, very happy with them. When I first tried them they sounded tinny and without bass. Then, I remembered a review that mentioned that they sounded good when fitted "correctly". I pushed the 'phones in a little further and hey presto, the bass comes alive with a warmth not experiented previously with my iPod.

There is a small problem with the rubberised cables as other reviewers have noted. If jogging or moving around alot, the cables do tend to become noisy. I'm sure I can work 'round this though.

I only paid 2.99 + 4.50 p&p on Amazon so am well chuffed.

Purchased this from Amazon to replace poor earphones with my ipod nano. Read all the reviews and decided to purchase them. I'am so glad I did! Listen to my nano late into the night. For the price and the cost a no brainer!!

3 out of 5 stars Practical Reservations   April 8, 2008

Firstly, to be fair, the sound quality of these is superb, and (so far) they fit securely in the ear. You might think that should be enough, but unfortunately not. The problem is the rubberised coating they've used on the wire. Because they are designed to fit snugly in the ear and reduce extraneous sound, any vibration or movement on the wire is transmitted straight into the ear, and because of the rubber, almost any movement of the head causes such sound as the wire comes into contact with clothes and skin. Its incredibly distracting, and an unbelievably stupid oversight given the quality of the product otherwise. A plastic coating is the obvious answer, and would surely eliminate this problem.

2 out of 5 stars Its Marmite   March 28, 2008
Mine have now broken, lasted only 3months. The sound volume in the left ear has all but gone. I'm starting to get slightly death in my right. I wasn't a great fan of the ear canal types.... so I moving back to Princess Leia type models. I might stay with Sennheiser though as the sound quality and price are good. Its just I wasn't wowed by this particular product.

The question is how do I use my warranty? I'm thinking it might be 20 down the drain, oh well... you live and you learn.

2 out of 5 stars Too quiet and tinny for my iPod   March 2, 2008

I don't like these as much as the headphones supplied with my iPod 30GB. These Sennhieser ones don't provide as much bass, and they are too quiet -- practically inaudible on public transport for example, even with the volume turned up.
