I lost my iPod on holiday and nervously replaced it with this Sansa. br /My experience with my iPod was not the best - or at least not so much the player itself but the software that cased me all manner of grief. br / br /Based on this experience, I certainly wasn't going to invest any higher up the range so started to look around at alternative products. br / br /Basically if you are reading this I assume you are after an MP3 player for 30 quid or so and have looked at iPods, Creatives etc and are obviously harbouring the same doubts I did. All I can say is go for it, radio, LED screen, twice the storage and equal sound quality to the iPod for half the price. I pretty much tossed a coin between this and the Creative and this one won - but I daresay I would be typing the same for the Creative if I had chosen it. br / br /The biggest hurdle you face is badge snobbery - once you have cleared it you will be fine, honest ;)

Was very surprised with the size of this player - it's tiny!! Had no problems with setting up on Vista or XP - file copies work fine (without installing software) - radio is a little fiddly but gets there. 5 hours to charge up fully - will need to buy a mains charger though for when away from PC's..

Not having had an MP3 player before, I was slightly wary that this would be a lemon and the negative review from a previous purchaser nearly put me off buying this one. br /We wanted a simple player that was easy to use, gave a good sound without needing to store vast numbers of tracks. The Sandisk has exceeded expectations. It is really easy to set up, has not crashed my XP2 system and the sound quality is superb. Even the FM radio quality on the stations we can receive in our poor reception area is excellent - a bonus. br /I am very impressed and can recommend it unreservedly.

I can't see how it could be improved. It's small--about the size of a zippo lighter, very light, excellant sound quality, simple to operate and nice looking.
