I travel extensively throughout mainland Europe and have spent hours trawling through endless electronic stores in every country.Amazon is an absolutely fantastic way of purchasing the items you need.Fast and efficient. I have 4 different Western Digital hard drives which include 2 passport type externals.These travel with me everywhere,trains and boats and many airport thrashings and i have never had a problem. I plug them in and they play perfectly.Thank you WD for a fine product. Thank you Amazon for your supreme efficiency (sometimes rare these days).

I own two similar drives already, the silver 80GB one and the black 160GB one. I've never had any issues with those over the past year and a half. So I got this one to accommodate my ever growing music collection. After copying about 100GB onto it it decides to mess up. First it refuses to let me do anything (thought at first there may be a problem with some of my files, but it wouldn't let me delete them either). I disconnect the drive and reconnect it and while it still tells me that there are over 100GB in use I can suddenly only access about 5GB of my collection - the rest has miraculously disappeared. Formatting wouldn't work at first either, but now it's doing just that. There is hope that it'll work again after formatting. I've had such great experiences with my other drives, I really hope this won't be a total letdown. But, since I can no longer trust this drive to keep my music safely, I will now have to buy yet another drive (maybe not WD this time) for backup.

Don't listen to the guy above, i have had a WD (western digital product for nearly 2 years and it has never let me down. Perfect with high transfer speed also very lightweight and portable.

This item was delivered in less than 24 hours. So far it works perfectly and I am very satisfied with its simple software and transfer speed. It is small, light and handy movable device.
