I would like to inject a level of caution into all these rave reviews. Based on them I have bought an RDI through amazon. My initial feelings are not 5 star. I listen almost exclusively to classical music, though of many different kinds. Out of the box the unit is harsh in the top end. After 24 hrs of continual playing in a back room (not nearly long enough I know) the unit is mellowing as would be expected of speaker units but some other nasties are rearing their heads. Principal among these is a buzzing in DAB mode. FM is generally better although that would appear to have some kind of automatic noise suppression circuitry in operation. I have a Pure 1S to hand so have been able to compare side by side. So if you listen to music such as classical and other sound sources where there are times of quiet or silence, you may find that these faults are more than you can live with. Perhaps it is the best of a very small bunch if you want something with DAB, ipod integration and better sound but if you are expecting the best that it should be possible to make in such a small package at this price then Intempo may not be there for you yet. I look forward to hearing What Hifi's thoughts on the product.

I just received this product and was so impressed at the quality of the sound and simplicity of using this great system, I had to write a review! br / br /It has a subwoofer so the stereo sound is deep and makes my mainly soul music sound superb even at a fairly low volume, even better at a higher level. 30 Watts of sound! br / br /The sleek black appearance is great and it is just the right size. My IPOD looks and sounds fantastic. In addition, there is a DAB radio, which sounds crisp and stable. br / br /I recommend this product - having listened to other similar more expensive systems; this wins hands down!

Arrived yesterday (I got it for my father in law) I am very impressed. br /I have a Logitech Audiostation this is much better. br /DAB radio found 18 clear stations in an area where FM doesn't work reliably. br /Remote is pretty good, loads better than the Logitech. You can navigate the Ipod menu and move through the lists with it pretty well, it will even fast scroll a list if you hold the remote button down. br /Minor point - you cant just switch between Ipod DAB, it cycles round DAB-FM-Ipod-Aux-DAB so on. It would be better if the remote (and console) had buttons for each. Sound quality is fantastic. Clear at low volumes and still good quality right at the top, and deafeningly loud. br /I am seriously considering buying another relegating the Logitech to the dining room.

This is an amazing thing of beauty, sleek and glossy and sounds so much better than the other docking unit I bought. However one word of warning my new Ipod nano (video) 4gb doesn't fit any of the docking cradles supplied, (resulting in much nail bitting trying to extract the cradle without damaging the tray, a sturdy darning needle did the trick) but will sit snuggly in the tray 'naked'. The cradle marked nano 3 appeared to fit perfectly but resulted in the Ipod sitting too high to connect correctly. As always great service from Amazon

This is my xmas present and its brilliant! The sound quality is superb, it makes my ipod sound fantastic and the DAB radio is very good at finding loads of stations even if the signal in your area is not that good. its compact design is excellent and so this means you can actually take it with you away on holiday which is a bonus. Overall great looks and great sound - you cant beat it! And well worth the price!
