Faultless July 5, 2008 S. Morris (Bristol, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This television is pretty much faultless. It's easy to set up and use and has many capabilities - many functional ports and so on. The Freeview with it is brilliant BUT can be affected by which aerial you use. For example, I use the aerial I had for this television's predecessor and it works great but can get errors/interuptions with the reception when there's bad weather i.e. strong wind and heavy rain. The picture quailty, when not connected to anything HD-wise, is fantastic anyway (that is, using the DTV option). To conclude, this television is exceptional, fulfilling many, if not all, of any television user's needs. I highly recommend this TV especially for those seeking a set for somewhere like their bedroom or something similar - it's the perfect size. I researched this product in depth and found Amazon to be the best place in which to purchase this product - concerning cost, delivery etc.

very good buy, looks well, the sound and picture is great, the only thing i will say is when you go to watch it from when its on standby is slow and can take up to 10 sec's, doesn't sound much but it gets annoying everytime you go to turn it on.
An excellent product June 14, 2008 Perce (Cheshire) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this television so that it could be used as a player for games consoles, a monitor for the computer as well as a freeview television. It does all these very well, and I am very pleased with it. I did have a few problems setting up the freeview because I tried to scan the channels during the day, and could not find all the major channels such as BBC1,2,ITV 1,2 and several other channels. I have had similar problems with some freeview boxes and PCs before in that trying to scan for the channels during the day seems to make tuning the channels tricky. I rescanned the channels after 7 pm and was able to set up all the channels easily.
Nice TV, nice picture June 7, 2008 Monkey Magic (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this since about September 07, and paid about 280 for it which I thought was good. (I didn't get it from Amazon). This is a great telly with good colour. Sound, as with other LCDs is not as good as old style TVs due to the lack of space for large speakers. All the documentation I read before buying said that I'd have to buy a wall mounting kit separately. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found a wall mounting plate in the box. The base folds back and hooks onto the supplied metal plate that you screw onto the wall. I don't know if I was just lucky or whether everyone gets one. The one downside (but not enough for me to downgrade my star rating) is the time it takes to change channels. After pressing a channel on the remote it takes over a second for the TV to change channel, then takes over 2 more seconds to decode the digital signal. In all it takes about 4s to change channel. The first delay can be removed by using P+/P-. Anyway, this is only a minor point and just takes getting used to. The tv also reacts slowly to moving up and down on the channel list, and you can't skip a page at a time. I would definitely get another Samsung. They are also cheaper to other brands but seem just as good to me.
