Bought a cheap 32" Vistron last weekend, the contrast and brightness were dreadful (no matter what you did with the settings) and there were a number of dead pixels. The ghosting on the screen was unacceptable as was the picutre judder which was so bad that my wife felt sick. The company I bought it from were very good in terms of refunding my money. br / br /Spent the extra money on this Sony, arrived yesterday and it is so much better. Out of the box and running freeview within 10 minutes. The only struggle I had was trying to find the aerial socket. br / br /The picture is vibrant and the colour is fantastic. Blacks are good which is something the Vistron particularly failed at. Not tested the sound as it is plugged into my Sony amp. Tried Shrek on DVD and it looks fantastic. br / br /Only slight gripe is the strength of the Freeview box. Channel Five lost its signal once or twice last night, something that doesn't happen on any of our other Freeview tuners (including 2 Sony products). br / br /Otherwise, a great product.

A truely great buy at 442.watched The Decent on film 4 last night,full of dark and gloomy scenes, and for the fist time didnt think i was missing anything,fantastic picture and sound.have read reveiws critisising this telly as cheap looking but dont believe everything you read,this is a chic looking quality product at a fantastic price.havent tried hd as yet as i dont own any hd gear,but the sd performance of this telly justifies its 5 star rating,exceptonal
