Got this today and it worked fine straight out of the box. I am running it on a small internal aerial and it works perfectly. It doesn't even matter which way I point it. br / br /software is ok as well.

Having tried Pinnacle's dvb-t stick on my laptop, which failed miserably (erasing the drivers for my DVD drive), I returned it and replaced it with this. In constrast to the Pinnacle stick, this is genuinely vista compatible. I plugged it in, and had the drivers working within a very short space of time. After the troubles with Pinnacle, I didn't bother with the bundled software, but instead installed the stick in Windows Media Centre. This took around 15 minutes to complete, after which I was able to receive 70 channels. Picture quality is excellent, with none of the crashing that others have experienced. Overall, one very satisfied customer.

To all the people who have given this product a bad rating, your computer must be seriously corrupted if your computer is freezing while using this program/product. I brought my Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T USB Stick on Saterday, at first I just used the provided aerial straight and it did not pick up any channels but then I connected an extention aerial cable to the same aerial and positioned it outside, it picked up almost 60 channels which I can view without any problems what so ever. And another word of advise, you might wanna check the freeview receiption in your area at www.freeview.co.uk, obviously if your reception is bad you going to have a tougher time picking up channels, its not the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T's fault. Ive got a very small living space and it has saved me so much space adding TV to my PC.
