I purchased a HUMAX PVR9200TB for my grandparents. I found it very easy to explain to them how to use the HUMAX, and had little need for the manual. I am sure as they learn how to use it, and become expert users they will especially like the ability to record two programmes at the same time, pause live tv, and record a whole series at the touch of a button. Highly recommended!!!!

This is the third PVR I've had in the last six months and it's by far and away the best. It's the Manchester United, the Mike Tyson, the Elvis Presley of the PVR world. It has more features than a 747 but it's as simple as a stick to operate and brings them all into one easy-to-use set top box. br / br /So what's so good? Well, simplicity is up there for a start. It has iPod ease of use, sure, it's clever too. It switches the TV on and the remote works and controls the TV perfectly, so no need to take your chances with other remotes. br / br /It records anything anytime and does it perfectly. It has picture in picture and loads of other neat little things that make using it a real pleasure. br / br /I've had to look at the manual once to see how to do one particular thing, but other than that, it's a doddle and for a 160, it beats everything else you're likely to use. br / br /You can happily go down to your local retailer and hand over your hard earned ducats, knowing full well that you are in for a lot of televisual pleasure. This is one product you can go and buy with confidence.

I bought this for my girlfriend as a birthday present, I work in digital media with MPEG broadcast hardware, HD playback etc was a bit sceptical. br / br /As an HD recorder I have been very very impressed, the twin tuners are excellent and the picture quality is fantastic considering the price. OSD and menus take a little getting used to but it's extremely reliable and it's pretty quiet, your don't really notice it, pausing live TV is great, nothing like skipping the adverts when watching Formula 1. br / br /We figured it out in an evening and have never read the manual. br / br /It's so easy to setup, just plug in your aerial and it does the rest, if you're a technophobic don't worry, it's a breeze. br / br /I'd never purchased a humax product before but I've been very impressed, if you're looking for an HD freeview recorder I'd recommend this every time. br / br /I use the BT Vision box and it's garbage in comparision.

I had a DVD recorder that was forever having problems with discs so thought I'd give this ago. I love it! You can record two programmes at once whilst watching a third, whole series record at the touch of a button, you can pause TV your watching while you get a drink and then catch up at the advert break...I can't imagine life without it...I would highly recommend it!

Took 10 minutes to set up and have running out of the box. br /One touch Series linking, searching for programs by name / type / channel, one touch record set up, timeslip watching, record two digital programs simultaneously, watch a recording whilst recording another program.... I think this box is brilliant. br /The fan sometimes comes on and provides a little back ground hum but its infrequent and a lot less noisy than others - plus if it really bothers you just turn the unit on then off and it turns off the fan... you can do this while its doing timed recordings without interfering with them. br /Minor irritations - the program schedule can take a while to completely download a weeks worth, and occasionally it changes the TV screen display size from "smart" to 4:3 when you turn the unit off. br /Love it... best digital buy of 2008 for me so far!!
