Great when it actually works!!!! July 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had one of these for 6 months now and it can lock up, lose the onscreen graphics and generally screw around WHENEVER it feels like it and the only way to unlock it is turn the mains power off and back on again. In an evening it may lock up 7 or 8 times... or not do it at all but it does get very frustrating. I also bought one for a friend not long after I got mine and he has the same problems with it. Tonight it seems to have finally packed up altogether and just turns itself off after about 5 seconds every time I turn it off and back on. When it works the features etc are great and it was very easy to set up. Needless to say I wont be buying another one!! Come on Phillips - we expect MUCH better from an established company!!!
No problems so far June 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this box from Amazon and installed it a couple of days ago. The channel search was effortless, the reception seems great and hasn't failed at all since I bought it.
The whole experience seems great.
DO NOT PURCHASE June 15, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Purchased this product in May 2008. Unit freezes when changing channel only to be rectified by switching off at socket. Returned item to Comet in June and exchanged for brand new unit which has the same problem plus the volume control does not work at all. Disgusted. DO NOT BUY.
Gliches glore May 14, 2008 Got this digibox as my old one blew up! It worked OK for a couple of weeks and then started to hide the programme info on a regular basis... the text becomes corrupt and you have to switch it off and on again. It also manages to 'short' my TV whilst doing this which puts itself on standby!
Added to that it seems to have problems with certain signals - I tried using a signal booster but that had not effect at all!

Signal is ok but remote stops working sometimes and i have to switch box off and back on to rectify. On screen display/programme guide is poor too. Not sure if it is worth 30.
