"A must for WD Passport owners." May 20, 2008 Benjamin Saunders 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This case is the perfect partner for my 250GB WD passport drive and 1.8 metre USB 2.0 cable. It's tough enough to protect it from small drops, being sat on ect... br /It's also great for housing a Nintendo DS Lite and several games.
Inaccurate title but no better options. May 3, 2008 Igor (Nottingham, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Very good service and delivery rates; however, the title 'for 1.8" and 2.5" external HDs' is misleading. The dimensions of 2.5" WesternDigital HD are ca. 12.4x7.6cm, whereas the case is effectively 16x10.5cm. So, the gadget is not specific to 2.5" HD, but can be used for it. Excellent case for passport drives February 11, 2008 J. Caldwell (Northern Ireland) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Got this case recently to protect my western digital passport drive. As previous posts have said the drive is slightly small than the space inside the case but this doesn't seem to be an issue at all. One side of the case is for the disk and on the other is a pocket for the lead. The case feels pretty sturdy and is ideal for the Passport range of disks to throw inside a laptop bag. If you need a case buy this one.
Superb idea, shame the drives have shrunk. January 28, 2008 John Nunn (Coventry, U.K.) 55 out of 56 found this review helpful
I had great expectations for this as the case is pictured with a western Digital passport drive inside. However when I got mine it was too big for the newer model passport drives, my older 80GB model fits perfectly. The two newer models are so small they are not held effectively in place by the elastic strap. If there was some additional removable packing designed for the newer model then all would be fine. The benefit of the hard shell is reduced when the internal packing material is not shock absorbing. All in all a great case for older larger portable drives, but needs updating as technology moves on.
with some internal padding would be unbeatable and 5 stars January 26, 2008 Colin (Azerbaijan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I now have 3 of these, used for various Iomega hard drives of different types (Silver series, eGo, mini-hard drive) . It is a great, versatile little case. If it had a padded/shock absorbing material lining would be the perfect case. br /It even fits my Nokia Su-8W wireless keyboard, and generally I carry 2 hard drives in each case.
