5 out of 5 stars Shockingly good   October 23, 2008

Wireless USB Adapters are a nightmare on Vista x64, I'd purchased two expensive models and they either didn't work on x64 due to lack of support (such as Netgear, who are still selling USB Adapters which simply won't work on Vista x64) or they claimed to work but caused bluescreens and random software errors (Linksys). br / br /I had totally overlooked this little gem as the price put me off - I figured it was the one least likely to work seeing as the box looks rather dated and it doesn't even state that it works with Vista x64. But seeing as it was so cheap I figured I'd already wasted 80 on the others so I might as well give it a try. br / br /Wow! I only unboxed it 10 minutes ago and here I am. I installed the latest drivers from the website, connected it to the computer and it installed and worked perfectly from the get-go. br / br /I disabled it's build in 'wireless management' software which can simply be removed from the start-up folder and it works just as well with the Windows Vista built in wireless connection manager. Seems to support everything the more expensive models did, only this time it actually works! br / br /Would highly recommend. Don't let the price put you off. br / br /Oh, and a 5 bar signal with the aerial as well!

I bought this after my old netgear device packed up. br /Was wasy to set up and configure, prob about 10mins. br /Does exactly what it says on the tin although I didnt see any real increase in signal strength. br /My pc is about 12 meters away from my netgear router. br /

I bought one of these after the old belkin kept crashing and dropping signal. Also have used a netgear in past but this is the best i have used so far. My router is 4 floors down and its still picks up full signal, never drops connection and is so simple to use. Really cant get a better product for the money. Have got a 2nd one now for my brother.

This product was really easy to use, and I didn't have driver problems with older versions that other reviewers seemed to have. It even picked up my wireless signal in the garden (I live in a flat so this was quite a task). br / br /The problem is that it overheats, and will show as being disconnected until it decides it wants to give me a connection again.
