You know how it is when you see an item at a low price, read the reviews, check it out somewhere else, come back again, should you, maybe the more expensive one?? UMmmmm. Let me tell you this is an absolutely fantastic gadget. Took a while to get a open frequency and had my doubts. Not for long. I travel from Swindon Wiltshire to Somerset and back just about everyday and all the time on 105.0 no problems. Get it you'll love it, especially for the price you pay. If you can't find a clear line ask about like I did.
Great little device August 14, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have bought many of these transmitters and this one is definately the pick of the bunch. The ipod on-screen display and fact it works without being plugged into the mains are 2 of the main reasons I purchased this, but i found the sound quality to be of a high quality (with even options to turn sound from Mono to Stereo!!!). Another attention to detail I liked was that there is a small removable spacer in between ipod and device so that if your ipod has a case around it, then just remove the spacer thus increasing the lenth of the data connector allowing it to reach past the case into the ipod...good thinking!
For those that found this item less than ideal because the sound quality drops when there is interferance from another station, well thats the nature of the beast. All these devices NEED a clear FM frequency in order to clearly play music (just as any radio station does!!!), so if you think this is an issue then go and source a different way of playing ipod in your car...if that doesnt sound like a problem, you could do a WHOLE lot worse than opting for this great, compact and cheap transmitter.
not worth the money August 9, 2008 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
Very very disappointed with this product. First of all it doesn't work with my ipod touch. The touch recognises it as an "accessory" but none of the functions of the tuner actually work.
You can't: change volume output (which is very very quiet) you can't: change broadcast frequency (107.9 is the only frequency you can use) you can't: change from mono to stereo you can't: store frequencies
Quite frankly it's a total waste of money. Save your pennies, buy something else!
Does exactly what I expected August 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was slightly put off by some of the negative reviews on here, especially those saying this doesn't work with the new ipod nano, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway as it's so cheap. I'm glad I did! It works perfectly with my 3rd generation 8gb ipod nano, I didn't even need to read the instructions to get it working, it's so easy to set up.

This product is not one which I would recommend, it has consistently failed to provide an acceptable listening experience in my car.
