After reading mixed reviews for this product, I was dubious of buying one. As the price was so low, I thought I would take a gamble. I am glad I did, this product is excellent. My car has an aerial embedded in the rear window. This did not cause any problems at all. I just followed the set up guide and installed the product into my power outlet. Tuned my radio to an empty frequency and used the up and down keys on the tunebase, to match the frequency on my radio. I then pressed play on my 30gb Video ipod. The sound is crystal clear, with no interference at all. I also tried this on another vehicle, with the radio antenna mounted on the front, with the same results. This unit also comes with loads of adapters for use with different ipods. Great value!!

5 out of 5 stars Why is it working for my 3g Nano??????   December 8, 2007

3 hours after ordering this from Amazon I fell over with my 2g nano in my pocket. Hence one bent, broken screen ipod! Bought a 3g nano but before Tunebase was delivered I discovered articles on the net stating this Tunebase would not work with 3g nanos. Tried it anyway, and although there is no suitable size adaptor for the cradle, lo and behold, it transmits and charges fine!!! br /Cue Twilight Zone music......

This is fantastic product with excellent sound quality. I have used in both of our family cars and it works extremely well. A number of people have complained about the difficulty picking us a good signal via the radio, but it seems that they may have been unlucky. The main issues are likely to be their model of car, type of radio, radio not well earthed or local interference (A strong signal in the area that is interfering). The unit should lock on to your radio and highlight a tuning frequency. If you tune to this the signal should be clear. If not try changing the frequency. If you still cannot get a clear signal then try the unit in another vehicle to test it. br / br /Ian
