I bought this webcam (my first), primarily to make video calls to far flung relatives, using Windows Live Messenger. br / br /After some fiddling about with the messenger, it worked just fine. One problem was, I didn't know that you had to shut down the supplied Logitec software first, before using the messenger - I've since removed this from my startup menu. br / br /Other than that, it appear a robust piece of kit. The plastic looks sturdy, the picture is good, and the built in microphone is more than adequate. br / br /Recommended.

Great value and robustly designed: I had a problem with a Logitech Quick Cam I bought a few years ago in that the stand was loose and it would constantly move. The swivel on this one, however, is pretty stiff so it stays in the position you want. It also fits nicely on a monitor and quality is fantastic for the price. An added bonus is the in-built motion senor which means, if you download the appropriate Vista sidebar gadget from the Logitech website, the webcam can be used as a security camera which starts recording when any movement is detected and stops soon afterwards. The delivery was also exceedingly fast- ordered it at 1pm and came at 8:45 the next morning!

This is my first intruction to a webcam and am mightily impressed. I never really thought I would have the need to use one of these, but on a recent visit to our cousins who had one, I decided to "join the club". Simple to install from CD, then plug in the webcam and you are away - so simple. I also installed Skype and registered a free account with them, and within one hour of receiving the device in the post it was installed and we were having a "live" web chat with our cousins - and all free to connect. br / br /To reaffirm how easy it is, my kids, both under 11, have used this on their own to connect to their cousins (I believe they held an X-Factor contest - I would not have bought it if I had known...). They love the special effect filters that they can apply to change the images they send, although I have not been able to find any more yet for this webcam. br / br /I have given it 5 stars for easy of set up, easy of use and affordability. If I was going to buy another webcam though, I would pay a bit more to get some more features with it.
