I saw this movie for the first time tonight. Having not read the book I didn't know entirely what to expect. br / br /I laughed and I cried. This movie in my opinion is one of the best chick flicks out there. I totally loved it. br / br /The only thing that didn't work for me was Lisa Kudrow (from the series friends). I just felt that I didn't feel her part in the movie. She is the only criticism I have of it. But that is just my opinion.

I really liked this movie! It's not a life-changing deep thought-provoking film but it does raise some important issues. The acting is brilliant, the storyline is original (for those who haven't read the book), the production and direction is really good and ... Gerard Butler is soooo gorgeous! You can really sympathize with Hillary Swank's character for being so upset about losing a guy like him, where ever are you going to find anyone that comes even close to such perfection??? (hee,hee)! br / br /I didn't mind that they have changed the story but maybe that's because I read the book a while ago and only remember the gist of it and not specifics. br / br /Also, it was fun to see Lisa Kudrow although it's like seeing Phoebe again with some of her 'other' friends! br / br /I highly recommend this movie for a quiet Sunday afternoon if you want to have a good cry!!!
