LOVE! August 5, 2008 Richard Hobbis (Glasgow, Scotland) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I love the way it looks in my kitchen and have been known to blow kisses at it, but don't tell anyone, ok? br / br /I have three small boys and as you can probably imagine, I don't have time to waste! However with my beautiful KitchenAid Classic mixer, it is so easy to whip up some pancakes for breakfast, fairy cakes (and buttercream icing) for the boys to decorate, a lemon meringue pie for dessert and bread. Lots of gorgeous home made bread. I have the mixer do all the hard kneading work, then I put the dough in the oven to prove while I pick up the boys from school. Then when I get home, I can shape my loaf, get the kids organised with their homework while the bread proves a second time and then in the oven to bake for their tea. Who needs a bread machine? It's really easy to clean after use, too. br / br /I'm sure most of us would love to choose a trendy colour but let's face it, white is neutral so will go with most kitchen decors and the price is well worth it. br / br /Keep an eye out for when Amazon has this on sale. I got mine for half price and free shipping Christmas time 2007. Then a couple of weeks later got the KitchenAid spatula for half price too. What a deal. :) br / br /Signed, Richard's Wife. ;-)
Wonderful machine ! July 6, 2008 Border Riever (Scotland) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Since my Kitchenaid Mixer came to live with us we have had two or three home baked cakes each week - mostly with suitable frostings ! So easy - just hurl the butter and sugar in and while these mix sort out the flour and eggs then chuck them in. Easy peasy ! The mixer is really substantial and easy to clean and makes a stylish partner to my Aga which has never been 'fed' so well.
Superb item! June 26, 2008 Tig (England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My husband bought me the Kitchenaid Classic Mixer last year when Amazon were offering 50 off if you spent over a certain amount. What a bargain! It is a real help to me as I have arthritis and can no longer use a hand held mixer or beat by hand. The only grumble was 'no pourer/splash guard' but when I rang Kitchenaid and told them I had not got one for my machine they sent one free of charge under the guarantee! What service! What a bargain.Oh yes,and it's easy to clean!
Classic versus Artisan June 23, 2008 Lady Lou 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Check out this web page, it compares the Artisan with the Classic, not much difference other than the Artisan takes 1/2 a quart more liquids and the bowl has a handle.
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE? June 8, 2008 F. Cody (Dublin, Ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The company blurb on the artisan mixer mentions a 300 watt motor. Anyone know what strenght this motor has, and why it is so much cheaper than the artisan mixer?
