I am thrilled with this little machine it is so very handy and elegant looking and small enough to leave out on my work top. It chops vegetables beautifully and saves me so much time. I have not had it very long but I use it constantly. I am so pleased with it I am going to buy my son one for his birthday.

3 out of 5 stars Not good for Making Baby food   January 13, 2008

This is a nice looking and well made machine but it has one flaw which makes it no good for creating baby food. br /The blades do not sit close to the bottom of the glass bowl, the gap is enough to stop all the food being chopped. br /If you only use small quantities in this machine it won't work at all it just throws the food onto side of the bowl. br /So do not buy this for making baby food like the description says. br /Sent mine back as the description was misleading. br /

3 out of 5 stars Small not mini food processor   December 31, 2007

This item seems to be very well constructed, looks good and probably does some jobs very well but it doesn't do what we bought it for. We bought it to make things like br /- chili-garlic-ginger paste (eg 8 garlic cloves, couple of chillies and an inch piece of ginger) br /- pureeing one chopped onion with a mix of spices br /The bowl is too big for these amounts - and the standard blades have two problems that I can see - first the blades do not skim the very bottom of the bowl and there is a 2-3 mm gap between the end of the blade and the side of the bowl. This means that small quantities are pushed to the sides and bottom of the bowl and simply aren't touched by the blades. br /Unfortunately, for us I can't see what we will use this for that we haven't already got covered by a hand blender and a standard food processor. br /

5 out of 5 stars Blending Need not be so mundane   December 9, 2007

I didn't buy this from Amazon but I have to say this appliance is fantastic. It's small and doesn't take up too much kitchen space. It has 2 types of blades (one for normal and a serrated one for cutting ice) and a creamer. So far I've just been using the normal blade but it mixes extremely well. Instead of pressing a switch and it processing, you get an electrical button that attaches itself to the top of the blade (with the lid on!) and by pressing it, it does the job. The button isn't too sensitive (which is great) and with various degrees of pressure you can adjust the level the food is being processed. br / br /There are only two things that could be improved - the first is that the length of wire for the processor is a bit too short. The second is that in normal food processors there is a opened cylindrical bit that allows liquids to be poured while the food is mixing; this food processor does not have this. This is especially important if you use a food processor for creating various doughs and cake mixtures. br / br /A great gadget, perfect for someone like me who is just getting into cooking.
