One of the strongest musical soundtracks out there. January 10, 2008

I purchased this soundtrack off the back of seing the show in New York and as with most people I was wowed by the sensational "Defying Gravity" which is a modern musical classic. The song almost, nearly, over shadows the rest of the album due to its initia crowd pleasing ability. However over time and as I listened to the soundtrack more, I found myself enjoying the other songs on the soundtrack including "Dancing Through Life" and the dark and beautifil "As Long As Your Mine". br / br /I feel that the soundtrack really grew on me and now it is a firm favourite of mine. There is no question of all of the casts vocal ability which is really quite something. I feel that a lot of people may buy this album for one or two songs, yet over time they will find themselves captivated by the whole CD. A very strong soundtrack that is a certain modern musical classic.

I must say that Wicked is the most thrillifying musical ever! The storyline is absolutly fantastic and Stephen Swartz music and lyrics just make the icing on the cake! I've seen this musical twice now, both in London and in New York and I'm desperate to see it again. Even listening to the soundtrack gives me all the excitement that I get from sitting in the theatre! I would recommend this to any fan of musical theatre. Even if you've never heard of Wicked, this is for you!

i knew some of the songs before going to see the musical live in London, and i have to admit that at the break i was in tears (really! lol) br /some of the songs that i didn't really like on the cd really surpirsed me live,esp Dancing Through Life! br /i just LOVE this song now! br /the cd is really great and the musical even better!! :D

seen it 4 times with Kerry Ellis, once with helen dallimore, 3 times with Diane Pilkington.....Helen was kak! br /for everyone that hasnt seen it, GO NOW!!! br /its a trillion billion times better than the CD. br /Defying Gravity mate!

I got the Cd before i even went and saw wicked the musical, i was and still am obsessed with the musical. after reading the book i though it would be great to get the Cd, the songs on this cd are both inserational and sometimes funny. this CD is well worth getting weather you are a HUGE fan of the show. or if you just like the music... i give it 5 stars
