It works June 22, 2007 Alan Gregory (UK-Lancs) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Bought 2,placed one on the house wall by the patio, and the local cats walked around the corner then ran along the patio to a spot out of range. The main problem was the dead birds, the second device I placed on a fence near the bird feeders, I realised when two cats were camped under the bird feeder it wasn't effective. I moved the second device to immediately in front of the feeders, no more cats and no more dead birds.
No More Moggies May 16, 2007 Amazon Fan (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My princess and I spent ages making her garden look amazing with weed sheets, bark and a whole load of new plants only for her selfish neighbour's EIGHT cats to decide to use it as a toilet every day. Revolting. Bought this baby and installed it with ease. The first day an offending moggy found a part of the garden that wasn't covered by the alarm so we moved it somewhere else. The moggy still came back once to do its thing but could definitely hear the device as it was looking very edgy. Since then (2 weeks ago) no more moggies, and my princess and I take great delight every morning in watching the moggies foul other people's gardens! We'll be getting another for her back garden very soon. All we need to do now is get one for my foxes. Buy one!!
It does work!! May 14, 2006 Addy (Devon) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
We bought this more out of desperation, rather than with any belief that it would actually work. However, it REALLY does. There are two cats next door, and despite our two large dogs, the cats had eaten loads of the fish from the pond, pooed all over our garden and stalked (and murdered quite a few) of all the birds that come to our bird table. Yes, for all you cat lovers, I know that is what cats do - but we just didn't want them doing it in our garden. Koi are quite expensive!! br / br /It really is a case of just plugging it in and 'aiming' it at whatever you want the cat to keep away from - and then just leaving it to do its work. You can set it up on the fence (this is where we have got ours) but there is quite a long wire to it, so you can plug it in and put it anywhere in even a large garden. It does cover quite a large area as well, so we have both the bird table and the pond protected - as well as the majority of our garden. br / br /I was very sceptical - epecially as there is really no way of knowing that it is working. Humans can't hear the frequency, but it apparently emits a frequency that cats don't like, which means they wont come anywhere near it. It also doesn't affect dogs or birds at all. Hubby set it up, and believe it or not, the buggers haven't been anywhere near the garden since. Not even once. For the first few days, I still wasn't convinced that it did work and spent many hours looking out of the garden just in case. The nearest one of the cats has been is putting it's head over the fence once when it was fist set up. They then must have heard the noise and legged it back home and hasn't been seen since! br / br /Fantastic piece of kit, you would never know it was there and I still can't believe it, but it worked for us. It has to be worth a try
