This console was revolutionary when it succeded the original Game Boy. It is still a landmark console as all the others are because there is as of yet no rival to the handheld market. But this doesn't mean they are spin-offs. These consoles also offer a great inventory of games including Pokemon (which I dont play) and Donkey Kong. Buy this console if you like collecting things like this.

Geez! Whoever thought this was just another handheld is utterly (butterly) wrong! This is the ONLY thing to play on and whoever hasn't got one, tut tut tut! Purple is the best and watch this space 'cause now new Gameboy Advance has come out the prices will be low!pBe cooler than your mates with a, PURPLE, Gameboy Color! pRock my World!

I have had all the gameboys up to date but the Game boy Colour is the best. I love it because unlike the pocket (Sliver) the Purple edition gamboy dosen't put you off your games. Where as the pocket used 2AAA this uses 2 AA, which are cheeper. It is also much nicer to hold and the games are faster and clearer too

I think that the gameboy color is an excellant follow on to the gameboy and for those people who think it just plays some games in color it has improved resolution and speed also has an infra red communication port aswell as a link cable feature.

Peer pressure has kept this product on my daughters Father Christmas list for the last two years. This year we gave her some money towards it. She spent the ... plus ... for the Chicken Run game plus mains attachment. It came with no English instructions. It has been played with for about an hour in total! God I hate Christmas! It's a smashing piece of technology. Very cleaver and simple to use but expensive and over-rated and of course heavily marketed!br /
