Top notch February 18, 2007 Random Dude (somewhere on earth) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had one of my controllers for 5 years, and all that is wrong with it is that the D-pad has stiffened up a bit, the R1 button can be pushed sideways if you press hard enough, and that when you shake it it makes a rattling sound, strangely. However, none of these actually affect your gameplay, so it is definitely worth buying.
The Normal Sized Controller For Perfect Play! January 30, 2007 Mrs. Dawnc Alexandre (Jersey (CI)) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
When it comes to Sony and their game play, they normally try and keep things the same. The most change is the size of the consoles they release, not the other pieces of devices! br / br /The DualShock 2 controller really has no changes towards the original DualShock Playstation 1 controller as the buttons are exactly the same as what the original one was, so gamers can easily remember what buttons to press and just go straight into their games. The only buttons to really learn on the DualShock 2 is the L3 the R3 Buttons, which are the two joysticks when pressed down! br / br /The DualShock 2 controller has a total of 16 Buttons (31 Buttons if you include all the D-Pad and all 8 corners on the Joysticks!) br / br /My Grade For The Controller: 8/10: Enjoyable, Fair-Play, Thumbs Up br / br /My Wish: I wish the leads were just a little bit longer so that I keep preventing myself from thinking about my younger brothers Playstation 2 (I tripped over his Playstation 2 lead once and the console went along with me to the ground!) br / br /Final Comments: There's nothing more I need to say about the controller! My only catch is counting how many buttons are on the damn thing! br / br /Review By Captain Chris Kipper!
Very Reliable June 2, 2006 Mrs. L. Ogier (Guernsey) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have had my PS2 and the original controller for 3 years now and it's still holding strong. However don't think that all my experience has been great, shortly after I brought the PS2 I also brought a blue controller and after a week of burnout 3: Takedown the R1 button was mashed, it had actually been pushed right into the controller!! Deaspite that I have never had any trouble with the D-Pad or main buttons even though I play a lot of racing games. br / The design is lovely and to all those people who think the shoulder buttons are too far up I say that I think they fit perfectly. It also sits snugly into your hands, making it a pleasure to hold. br / br /All in all a great buy, easily the best version of PS2 controller out there.
duel shock to controllers May 5, 2006 J. Jones (england) 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
these controllers even though they are made by (in my opinion) the very trustworthy sony...they do have there problems: br /1. buttons can stick down (very annoying and u have to leave it for a bit) br /2. as i dicovered today on san andreas the analog stick go wierd and so my camera kept on looking down. thankfully my trustworthy other controloler took its place and im going to have to see what happens. br /so if you want to buy these controllers be very, VERY careful and have money (or a spare controller)on you at all times you could just find yourself in a tight situation on your game were u can see where your or you cant jump because your buttons stuck down.
