Great all round printer October 7, 2008 James Kent (Providence, Rhode Island) This is a great all round printer. Which is a real bargain. br / br /To answer some questions/concerns: br / br /This printer does have a MAC CD, so can be used with Mac's. br /Yes, this printer can use ink quickly, but change the settings to print only from black cartridge and this will make a big difference on colour use. It's quite noisy, but it does have a quiet mode, which makes a slight difference. br / br /Also it contains two ink cartridges and only has room for two. The others mentioned are instead of not as well as. br / br /This printer contains no card reader, so a digital camera must be connected directly. br / br /For the price it's very good.
Can I use this printer with a Mac? September 24, 2008 T. G. L. Tran (UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Hello, I am thinking about buying a printer and I like this one very much. But does anyone know that if I could connect it to my Macbook?
Mild Irritation by Leslie G September 23, 2008 L. G. Adequate for the price point September 23, 2008 Mr. Pratab Ali (United Kingdom) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First Setup: br /If you are a novice, you will find the setup process as described on a broadsheet poster a little lacking. br /Diagrams could have been complimented with short sentences to make the setup easier. Diagrams weren't immediately understandable. br / br / br /Construction: br /Within moments of opening the lid to install the ink cartridges, a spring that retracts a blue plastic arm (kind of like the pole that props up a car bonnet/hood) fell off. br /Fortunately, the spring isn't vital. And remains intact. I'll re-insert it when I have the time. br / br /The printer its self is quite light, given the dimensions. Though, it looks aesthetically pleasing it has a cheap plasticky feel to it. But I can't complain at this price point. br / br /The paper is fed in a vertical manner (slightly diagonal) via a feeder at the back. The paper is supposed to be kept steady by a two-piece plastic stabiliser. (again the diagrams do not explain this properly). However, as soon as printing begins (which is quite a violent process) the lower part of stabiliser collapses on its self and the paper slumps towards the back of the printer, but printing is not disrupted by this. br / br / br /Print quality: br / br /A DTP application printed the same publication to my 9 year old HP 895cxi and then to the MP210. br /3 out of a 4 judges in a panel that I assembled preferred the results from the HP 895cxi. br / br /An Ok printer for the price point.
Good and worth the money! September 16, 2008 Mrs. Nicola A. Wilcox (wales, uk) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Purchased this printer a few weeks ago from Amazon, speedy service from Amazon and a bargain price of 36.78 including super saver delivery (which i have to say arrived in a few days after ordering!) br /I am not a computer buff and i wanted a basic printer that i could use for printing assignments, worksheets and maybe the odd photo. The printer itself is visually pleasing to the eye and not overly big. Set up was simple enough and basically 'follow the CD' instructions. Colour quality is fairly good for basic printouts and black and white is of good resolution. br /I have as yet printed any photos on this printer so am unable to comment on this. br /I did my homework before purchasing as i have (in the past) purchased a cheaper printer and been horrified when then having to purchase overly priced ink cartridges. I have found the cheapest to be Tescos with an original canon pg37 black ink cartridge priced at 10.97 and an original canon pg38 colour ink cartridge priced at 15.97. I think these prices are fairly reasonable. Maybe some of you will disagree though! br /To claim 15 cashback you must purchase this printer before September 2008. You can then fill in claim form before 28.10.08. The serial number for your new printer is inside the printer, open up unit as if putting ink in and it is to the right of the machine behind the ribbon. A tip i had from a fellow 'reviewer' thanks!!
