I really like this item. July 16, 2008 C. Hunt (Chesterfield UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Griffin iTrip Auto FM Transmitter for iPod - Black br / br /I bought this item after reading reviews on this and other types of FM transmitters and decided that this was one of the better ones on the market despite a few negative reviews. br / br /I am pleased to say that my decision was correct and this is an excellent FM transmitter. I haven't even had to search for a different frequency on the iTrip, it's still on the default 88.1Mhz. br / br /If anyone out there is not sure if they should buy one or not, then I hope that reading this would encourage them to purchase one.
fantastic device July 11, 2008 mrchowdery (england) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have struggled with 3 previous devices like this and all had average results usually with a hiss. br /This device is fantastic, works like a dream, within 10 seconds i had a station tuned in, the presets seem to work best. audio quality fantastic, no hiss with good volume. and it charges my ipod as i go, ideal solution to the probem of ipods with rubbish battery life further diminished by a device feeding off its battery. br /All i can say is its worth the extra money and works a treat.
Fabulous June 25, 2008 S. Booth (Wales) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Volvo S60, no option to change stereo, no aux in, no cassette so no cassette adaptor... it had to be an FM transmitter. br / br /The first 'cheapo' one I had was fine - proving that they can work in my car - but died. When it came to replacing it I chose this one on the basis of features-for-the-money. I did extensive reading on-line in an effort to choose a 'works for definite' one... found that they all have good and bad reviews and I suspect that it's more to do with 'works fine in this or that vehicle' than the products themselves. br / br /As well as playing music (well) through my car stereo (and loud enough - a challenge for UK iPods with cheapo transmitters)... it has the added bonus of the RDS transmission so I can see who is singing what displayed on the radio display (admittedly 8 characters at a time, not scrolling but line-by-line). It's a bonus feature which I already really appreciate! br / br /I wouldn't hesitate to choose this again - highly recommended!
Griffin i Trip does the business May 29, 2008 C. Mckeesick (Scotland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this after being sorely disappointed by the i-stuff FM transmitter. This is far better. Noise and interference suppression are first rate. It's a little basic with no autoscan or battery backup, but does what it says on the tin. It produces crystal clear, uninterrupted audio. Good job Griffin.
