Lack of organisation by folder is disappointing September 4, 2008 Snogun In most respects this is a good player but it contuinally bugs me that unless ID tags are perfect for every album then it is impossible simply to switch it on, go to an album and listen to it. For really popular albums online databases ensure that if you rip a CD then it will transfer correctly to the player; for everything else (including audiobooks, which I mainly use the player for), the process is hit and miss. br / br /This often comes up on FAQ's and the solution always given is to create a playlist. Here's a better one - take the folder organistation system that's on the Zen Media Explorer program and use it as the basis for organising the files on the player. That way even if the tags on a 10CD audiobook aren't entirely uniform, it will still be possible to find successive CD's simply based on alphabetical order. I used to own a 40GB Iriver which employed this system and it was perfect - I never had to create a single playlist (pity the battery wasn't up to scratch). I don't understand why companies don't use this system by default. For a player like the Vision M, which is so intuitive in so many ways, this is a dissapointing failure.
Super Quality August 27, 2008 Mark Crummett My Creative Zen M Vision is started to crackle a little and the screen is coming aaway slightly.......after 4 and half years. I'ev dropped this thing on a marble floor, concrete etc and sure its chipped a bit but its kept going!! At one point it had a rattle. I followed online instructions, took it apart, put a screw bk in and did it up again. Even after i did that (i took everything apart) it worked fine. only know is the headpghone jack worn a little and thus crackling. but after 4 n half years im not suprised. I dont really get why this now costs 60 more than it did so long ago but hey. br / br /Its not AS smooth to use as an ipod but it will sure as hell last a lot longer and do everything u need.
