5 out of 5 stars excellent   July 13, 2008

I have been using Kaspersky anti-viral software now for over two years having in the past used different anti-viral products. I have found Kaspersky software very good and have had no problems with the software. Installation is easy just by clicking and following the onscreen prompts like recommended installation and the job is done. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

I was very hesitant at first to buy this particular software. But I haven't got any regrets after I bought this. As many others mentioned this software does not eat a lot of CPU power. The protection offered by this software is as good as its competitors, if not better. I initially wanted to try it for the complete trial period but after 7 days of trying this software. I felt that I should buy it and did so immediately. I was surprised to see some infection in my computer which Norton did not pick-up and to my horror they were root-kits. Fortunately I do not use my online bank account on my home computer. I am much more than satisfied with this purchase and although I bought KIS-7 I was able to upgrade to the latest KIS-2009 free of charge with the same key which came with KIS-7. Fantastic isn't it? If the reader has not done the upgrade, please do so, it has a virtual keyboard as well. This protects you against key loggers. But anyways no key-logger can be installed while KIS-7/2009 is there. Also I loved the parental control feature in KIS-2009.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent product - found virus Symantec did not   June 14, 2008

I was a Symantec user for many years and felt comfortable with the product, until a virus invaded my Laptop, which syamntec never detected. In fact symatec wanted to charge a high fee for checking my pc. br /A friend recommended to check out Kaspersky, so I run the trial version, which immediately discovered and destroyed the virus together with a few other nasty cookies. br / br /It was easy to install and if something puzzles you the customer support team is there to help - free of charge - unlike Symantec. Iy is less power demanding unlike Symantec. br / br /Updates are automatically downloaded at least once a day(Symantec only once a week), leaving your computer protected against the latest known PC nasties. All updates run in the background and do not interfere with the usage of your PC. br / br /It is incredible value for money and I subscribed for three years (did not need the three user edition, as I only got one laptop). br / br / br / br /
