5 out of 5 stars brilliant   March 31, 2008

I bought this on the strength of the reviews on here. My baby is now 18weeks old, we started using this a couple of weeks ago and it's revolutionsed nap times and bedtime. He has always been a struggle to get to sleep, he fights the tiredness, but the dreamshow really helps him get to sleep. The lovely lullabies are soothing, he recognises them now and calms down straight away when we turn it on and the pictures on the ceiling are very cute! br /I wish we'd bought this much earlier, sleep times are much better because of this!

4 out of 5 stars Part of bedtime routine!   March 25, 2008

This has become part of our nightly bedtime routine and has helped me to get my daughter to sleep in her cot by herself. The 3 tunes are very relaxing and the show is cute and not too bright. The reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because: br /1)There is no volume control and it is a little loud. I can hear it from outside the room with door closed easily. br /2)The lightshow does not always come on from the beginning of the music. Sometimes it starts halfway through the song. br /

We'd tried and returned other lightshows for being too noisy (VTech and its grinding cog-wheels take a bow) or too "distracting". br / br /Tomy's Starlight Dreamshow, however, is simple but effective - not-bad music, with a very comforting projection - subtle (as in it really does need a dark room, which is good training for baby bedtimes), but interesting as the bears and their stars cycle across the disc of the moon. Fab!

I got three lightshows as gifts when i had my little girl. And this must have been one of the cheapest but i must say is definetly the best ... my little one lies and babbles to the little bears on the roof and we have named them all so we can say goodnight to them :) i know im daft but still a great product and i would highly recommend it.

I found this product good even if a little loud. If baby wakes up during the night I pop the 10 minute show on and that usually settles him back to sleep. Mine broke after only a couple of months, the projector still projects but has stopped moving which has definately lessened the soothing effect it has. I am going to buy a new one so I hope it'll last longer than a few months this time!
