4 out of 5 stars No 5 Yr Guarentee   July 25, 2007

It s important to understand that sony offers its 5 year guarentee only for products sold from offical sony shops. Its there way of competing, you can buy from amazon / net etc and get much lower prices. pixmani is offering this tv at 720 at the moment so even cheaper than here. however none of the net dealers offer any guarentee over and obove the sony basic 1 yr manufactuer guarentee, unless you buy extra insurance coverage from them, and guess what this takes the price back to the same level give or take a few pounds as the sony shops are selling them for. So there are no real bargains on sony tv's you are just paying different prices for different offers, ie tv with 1 yr guarentee v tv with 5 year guarentee.

5 out of 5 stars Great replacement for Sony Trinitron   July 5, 2007
1st Flatscreen (London)

No flat screen TV has come close to my 7 yr old flat screen Trinitron. But this is very good indeed and is replacing it. Colour fidelity is great, the only downside being a slight dullness compared to a CRT screen. And the connectivity options are fantastic, particularly the 3 HDMI links. At 799 including a 5 yr guarantee (John Lewis local price match), it is at the top end of 32" screen prices for this year - but I'd expect it to hit 650-700 by September. Recommended.
