4 out of 5 stars Fantastic TV, shame about the poor Amazon delivery options   March 19, 2008

I finally purchased the KDL32D3000 from Amazon, after months of research. My shortlist also included the Panasonic 32LXD70 and 32LXD700. All 3 have amazing picture quality but eventually I went with the Sony for trust in their brand and elegant design. I am not disapointed - the TV really is great, even on SD (and now even cheaper on Amazon). br / br /For those who have struggled to find a good picture within the relatively complex setup, I'd recommend joining Which and copying their recommended setup configuration for this TV. br / br /I've docked a star, not for the TV but for the poor delivery service options provided by Amazon. Neither their SuperSaver delivery nor their next day delivery were flexible enough for my needs; neither has an option for selecting a delivery slot (next day is before 1pm, which is useless for most people for any day but Sat). I chose SuperSaver, in the hope that I'd receive a call from the delivery company to arrange delivery. I received no such call and Amazon only told me the delivery company they would use immediately before the item was placed on the van. When I called them (ParcelForce) directly I was told the package would be delivered some time between 9 and 5 that day. It seems a very old fashioned 'housewife at home' mentality when the company won't even tell you a delivery day, let alone a delivery slot. br / br /Compare this to Dixon's delivery service where they promise that the driver will call 30 mins prior to delivery on the day you select. At this moment they're more expensive but might be worth considering if you are going to be inconvenienced. br / br /Come on Amazon... many of us are willing to pay for convenient delivery slots!

5 out of 5 stars Doesn't get any better   March 15, 2008

I bought this TV 2 months ago and I can say that I never regretted it for a second. I saw this side by side with the S series at a Sony centre and the difference was immense. The 100Hz and superior post processing make this rival any CRT TV with an SD signal (but not surpass). br / br /I use mine with a Sky+ box and the quality with new recordings on the popular channels is excellent. The only issues I noticed were with lower quality recordings were sometimes objects moving quickly become pixellated. For example the African Cup of Nations matches were susceptible to such effects due to the poorer recording at source. However, this is a relatively rare occurrence if you have a digital signal (i.e. use the built in freeview receiver) br / br /Overall this is definitely worth the extra price and with a bit of tweaking with the settings the picture quality is superb. Highly recommended!!

One of the best products i have bought in a long long time. Easy to set up once set up, all channels are perfect quality and the sound is unbelievable! br / br /Once a PS3 is hooked up to it, the Bravia really shows its quality, flawless graphics on games such as Pro evo and Call Of Duty. br / br /If you are looking for an amazing addition to your front room and you already have a PS3 and Sky HD box then this is the TV for you.
