5 out of 5 stars Brilliant set - unbeatable service   March 4, 2008

Ordered this set on Saturday with free delivery and it arrived first thing Monday morning. That's what I call efficient service. br /This is our first flat screen TV and we are certainly not disappointed. Set-up was quick and simple, the manual is very clear and the on-screen menus are logical and easy. br /Picture quality is just brilliant in standard definition. After watching David Attenborough's reptiles last night, we are no longer sure that we need HD as well but we will probably get it as we saved so much on the shop price of the TV. br /When you consider the free 3 year guarantee that is included, this is a deal that cannot be beaten. Don't miss it!

5 out of 5 stars Bought with a Sony DAV-DZ830W - DVD 5.1 Home Cinema System - With Wireless Rear Speakers HDMI 1080i Upscaling   March 4, 2008

Fantastic products and results. I have owned Sony TV's before they have always been at the cutting edge of technology. I have never owned a Home Theatre System before. I spent some weeks doing research before I bit the bullet and shopping around saved hundreds of pounds however Amazon was comparable to the cheapest prices available. br /The first film watched was a remastered Lawrence of Arabia, because I knew both sound and vision would be used to the maximum, I was not disappointed. br /My advice, if you are waiting for a clue to buy a decent package then look no further than these, you will not be disappointed

5 out of 5 stars after 5.5 hours fo trying to get a good pic, success at last   March 1, 2008

Just had a very similar experience to ziggerzagger. Spent 5.5 HOURS trying to get a decent picture .... sound ok, but picture awful, nowhere near as good as the old CRT tv... the 5 terrestrial channels were not too bad, sky rubbish, ps2 rubbish etc. spoke to sony centre and were told we are in a rubbish reception area (no freeview at all, poor signal from ordinary tv, we all need sky - we kind of knew that, but old CRT was fine ... just we couldnt expect much with a weak signal) ANYWAY ... had looked at the returns policy and just resigned ourselves to having wasted 628, when husband decided he didnt like the way the PS 2 was connected (bad pic too on that)... so he did something recommended in the diagram on the first page of the manual (doh) ... TV aerial from outside goes into "IN" on dvd player (vcr, whatever) and then scart lead out of there to SMARTLINK connector 2 NOT scart 1 .... and wahey - INSTANT GREAT PICTURES - on sky dvd + PS2 !! It kind of boosted the signal - PHEW - RELIEF!!! but really, 5.5 hours!! Just thought I'd post this incase anyone else struggles like we did...and perhpas it will be of use to ziggerzagger

Well, I've always been a huge Sony fan but when looking to purchase a new TV i studied and spent a few months reading reviews and looking in shops. br /I finally settled for the KDL32D3000 and I can honestly say it's fantastic.. the picture quality is stunning, deep blacks and vibrant colours and that's just the standard definition stuff. br /If your contemplating buying this TV then don't hesistate any longer.. I've had mine two weeks now and still not bored. Well done Sony!

Had the 32 S for about a week and the retailer I bought it from said if not happy with the picture they'd replace it - I could nt get a decent image from Sky or from a Denon S301 upscaling DVD - so took it back and replaced with 32 D - and the difference was amazing - bright colours deep blacks - great DVD images - great TV
