Dont bother looking around,i spent a week online and in shops,in the end i narrowed it down to two, this model and its brother the TX-37LZD85,if you want to pay 200 extra for the 100hz model then go ahead its not worth it,at 630 you cannot go wrong just press the buy button, Happy days!. br / br /PS buy Centurion GT7 Black Corner Contemporary Design Flat Screen 26"-43" Glass Stand on a well known auction site, its classy and alot cheaper than buying from a third party on here,

This TV is quite exceptional. The quality of the picture is stunning. I have progressed from a very good 32" HD TV to this one which is hooked up to both Freeview and Freesat (for HD transmissions). br /Out of the box and it was setting itself up as I was reading the instructions! Highly recommended - I have nothing adverse to say about it. br /As a bonus, I had this model ordered from an electrical retailer in Bradford and I cancelled after 2 weeks waiting. br /Ordered from Amazon late Wednesday evening on-line and it was delivered on the Friday morning of the same week! Wow! Bonus. Brilliant. br /

Firstly, I was recommended the Samsung range as being the best buys at the moment with Panasonic being the other make at the top of the game at the moment. I compared the two makes side by side with a Sky HD feed and to me, the Panasonic was clearly ahead on picture quality. For me, that put it as the best picture I could currently find on the market at July 2008. br /That left me with a choice of the two models at this price point being the TX-37LZD80, or the TX-37LZD85 for a couple of hundred pounds more for the 100hz picture feature, which is for improving the horizontal movement in fast action situations such as football or rugby. I watched Wimbledon for a while and concluded that I couldn't see any difference. Maybe if I was a sports fanatic I might pay the extra just so as not to kick myself further down the line, but as I'm not, and I really couldn't detect any difference, I saved myself some money and bought the LZD80. The guy in the shop confessed that he has never been able to see any difference either. br /Getting the TV home and setting it up was a piece of cake, and in the standard picture mode it is just breathtaking. If I thought the picture quality in the shop was good, then in a home environment sitting on the sofa the brilliance of this TV goes up again by a huge margin. br /My previous TV was an LG first generation HD ready 32" and is only 3 years old, but the leap in technology in that time is quite astonishing. br /The Panasonic has a great feature which is the cinema picture setting, which for films just replicates the cinema screen to a tee. For films, you'll just be there. It is so unexpected and clever that I just laughed the first time I saw it. br /One thing you will need to bear in mind is that you don't buy a TV capable of this quality and feed it a poor signal. If you fail to buy the best HDMI lead you can, capable of true 1080p bandwidth, then you are cheating yourself. Spend the 50 on a QED HDMI-P 1.0 metre cable and you'll be in heaven. If you're not prepared to spend that on a cable, you might as well buy a lesser TV, and if you've only seen the results of the wire the Sky installer gave you for free, then you haven't seen anything yet. br /For me, this Panasonic TX-37LZD80 is just about as good as it gets currently, and at the price that Amazon are doing it, frankly there's nothing to think about. br /I bought mine not on price, but after finding the best TV picture quality I could find after comparing the best. The price here is a bonus. The price in Comet where I did my comparisons and bought this TV was around 900 with a crappy surround sound system lobbed in. I should have bought it here, but it's so good, I can't complain.

I can't really add much more than the reviews already, but just wanted to say that you cannot go wrong with this TV. The clarity of the picture is crazy, in HD this Tv really stands out, the colours/contrast is spot on, and not one bit of blur. The menus are easy to use and the sound is excellent, with its simulated surround sound, it sounds brilliant, especially watching films. br / br /Thats it really, I have compared this to a Sony Bravia that a friend has, I can definitely say that this is alot better. With a SD slot too for checking out photo's, its an added feature that works really well. br / br /Go and watch it in a local store if you are not sure. This is worth every penny.

I've had this TV for about 2 weeks, it's brilliant. The Freeview is great, very sharp picture 99% of the time with a little breakup every now and then but we're in a poor reception area. We used a Freeview set top box before and couldn't get any channels except BBC and the shopping ones. With the panny we get them all. br /We've haven't tried a Bluray disc yet but we have played ordinary DVDs and you can see so much more detail than ever before. The colours are very true to life, the blacks are BLACK! OK, if you get really close to the screen then things look a bit fuzzy, I'm talking 12 inches here, but at normal viewing distance it's great. Did think about getting a Sony as a friend of mine got one but sooooo glad I didn't. This panny is the best, buy one. Oh, didn't get mine from Amazon, sorry, because I got a great deal from the high street. Sometimes you can if you haggle, which I did and got a free stylish stand to put the panny on + a free DVD recorder. All I can say is however you want to buy one then do it, you won't be dissapointed.
