Disney Exceeds Everyone's Expectations Again October 9, 2001

This DVD Collector's Edition is by far the best DVD Disney has released to date. Along with the direct to digital original feature this set also contains a game, an audio commentary of the feature, and everything a 'Disneyphile' wants to know about the film. pDisc 2 is where the magic really begins : behind the scenes look at the creation, scenes that were cut from the final version, a closer look at the animation and character development, a timeline of the Disney story, and loads more. pThis DVD set really is value for money. The book that accompanies the discs is also great reading. It's rare to get more than you expected.... pDo yourself a favour and buy your children (and yourself) a piece of movie history that will last forever in your hearts.

This DVD Refreshes and embelishes the long time standard bearer for Disney.brDisc 1 gives all you would expect from a top rate DVD - Film, Extras, Game. But Disc 2, wow !!. Just like with Dinosaur CE, Disney DVD have excelled. Details, history, insight.brYou really need to put time aside to give this your full attention - and not when the kids want to watch the film. Great discs, great package. The extra book on the art of Disney is a gem too.

Snow White was the first, and one of the greatest Disney animated films, released in 1938. The classic story of the beautiful princess and her cruel, jealous stepmother is famous worldwide and comes to life here. Snow White flees from the evil Queen, who will stop at nothing to become the most beautiful woman in the land. Her escape from her stepmother leads Snow White deep into the forest and to the cottage of the famous Seven Dwarfs. Who could forget the scene when she sees them for the first time? The animation and memorable accompanying music, which recieved an Oscar nomination in 1938, entranced audiences of all ages at the time, and still does so today. It has humour, charm, and of course the dwarfs, each with unique characteristics- most people have a favourite! This is a DVD for all the family, and it is a must for all Disney enthusiasts.

This classic German fairy-tale continues to entertain and delight children of all ages, cultures and interests. I still deem the animation as superb to the high tech, Computer generated graphics of todays animated features. Watch how Snow White moves through the forest - can you find the grace and style of all those lovable characters today? Watch this movie on your own or with your children, nieces or nephews, borrowed tot and sing along with the under-paid, over-worked men of short stature. Its beautiful, funny AND romantic - what more could you want!? Hi-Ho!
