Good product, beware of the company June 29, 2008 Depressed (UK) I have used Norton/Symantec products for over 10 years and love the products, but why does the company have to be so dodgy. br /Firstly, when the 1 year updates end, they want you to subscribe or upgrade, but they don't value you as a customer. Year after year I find they want more money to simply upgrade than you can actually buy a new product for. Last year they wanted 39.99 just to send me a number to continue my subscription, yet I bought a brand new product, boxed, posted etc etc from Amazon for 24.99. br /I have bought the new 2008 product this year from a shop for 29.99. I bought this 4 months early because I wanted the free System Works Go Back. I have used this for many years, but my current product didn't work when I upgraded to Vista. Rip off number two. br /So I looked at the box - for XP and Vista, asked to view the documentation - saw an article about using Go Back, and I made the purchase. No Go Back !!! Three messages swapped with Customer Services shows that a/ Go Back does not work at all with Vista and is no longer supplied. And b/ they don't care that I feel ripped off. br /
Slows your computer down May 6, 2008 Mr. J. S. Coles (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used Norton Internet Security for years and it's never let me down. Easy to set up and use, does what it says on the packet. br /However, it has slowed my system down to a crawl and I've put up with it! Why for example, would you want to virus check a document which you've just been working on not two seconds earlier which you've reopened. But no more, instead of renewing my subscription I changed my Internet Security provider. After much research I've installed Kaspersky and what a difference, my machine has returned to normal speed.

I bought a twelve month package for 49 in October 2007 and now Norton are insisting that I renew (January 2008). They are impossible to contact and now their automated system will not update as they say my contract has run out.
