This book is where the questions in the test come from. You may well pass the theory test without it - I tried the two on-line practice tests on the DSA site and got 33/35 both times [pass mark 30], before the book even arrived. Most questions are common sense to an experienced driver. br / br /However, you'd be daft not to read up the book anyway. HGV drivers will have more techie stuff to answer than PCVers but all must know the new drivers' hours regs and that can only be mugged up, not guessed or worked out.
