A Big Relief April 12, 2008 B. M. Bush (London) After struggling for months with the dreadful Norton 360, I'm so glad that I've managed to find a stable, simple, non-infuriating security system which doesn't slow my PC to a crawl. br / br /I'm sure that none of the systems on the market are 100% perfect - but the vast gulf between this product and Norton makes a 5 star rating entirely reasonable.
If you USE Windows, then buy Windows! March 9, 2008 Martin A Hogan (San Francisco, CA.) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
For the last fifteen years, I have used McAfee or Norton for my virus protection. I have received virus's numerous times and had problems with my firewalls being set too high by some clown I hired who was an expert. The worst part was that Norton and McAfee never notified me to update my subscription (they are supposed to). Maybe it was my fault. When I mentioned this to my computer expert nephew his first questions was, "what system was I using?" Microsoft. He advised me to dump Norton and never use McAfee. If I have Windows Vista, doesn't it make sense to use a Windows product? br / br /Since I have installed it, the only problem I had was getting my past username and password correct. It runs MUCH faster than any other software I have had and is simple to install. Uninstalling Norton was harder than installing this. We all seem to have to learn the hard way. Windows Live OneCare works great!
Runs great. January 29, 2008 L. Gurton (Essex, England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ive been using onecare for quite some time now, (well as long as its been available) I'm currently running it on Vista Ultimate x64 and it does the job brilliantly, I've had my PC about 4 months, and a virus has never got into my system. Maybe onecare cant take all the credit, being careful what you download helps. But it dosent slow the machine down at all, cheaper than other anti-virus's. Overall if your running a windows based machine whether 64bit or 32bit, this is the product for you.
Why oh why are they still shipping V1.5 when V2.0 is available December 11, 2007 P. Atkins (Bucks UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I downloaded mine from the MS site no problems to start with and two laptops owned by my daughers. However when installing on my daughters laptop about 10 days after my install I noticed a differing process and set of questions during the install and registration but all went well, on both machines. br /That is untill about a week ago my PC started to shut off the firewall after about 5mins!!! After much messing about I checked the versions on each machine I had 1.5 and the two laptops 2.0!! How is it that MS don't auto upgrade to latest version? So I removed the whole thing from my PC and redownlaoded. I now have vesion 2 and far more flexable and better setup and all the issues I was having have gone away. br /My advice would be to purchase direct from MS and get the latest version. br /I am running Vista Home Premium.

I have a 65 day trial version and i would say it is better than any other antivirus program. I say myself that it is recommended to every computer user.
