Easy to Use November 18, 2008 John R. Kettell This is great really easy to use and fast. I created a website in about an hour which i am really pleased with. I have tried dream weaver without much success and then bought this for about 20. Buy it its very good.
Review-WebsiteX5 Evolution November 18, 2008 Gubbu (UK) Good: Website X5 Evolution is a visual software which has a limited number of steps(No. of steps=5)to create your own website. It is easy because it is quite user friendly. People with minimal or no knowledge of web designing also can prepare a pretty decent website. br / br /Bad: At some levels you feel that a few extra features could have been more helpful. One of them is as follows: In the Table Object, moving around, copying and pasting items is a bit problematic. Also, one cannot embed or add an image or any graphic image in it if required. br / br /Overall: Ofcourse, for a high quality website an advanced website development program will be more helpful but for someone who is putting up his/her first website and wants to keep it simple, Website X5 Evolution is a program worth trying.
Pretty good really but don't expect miracles November 16, 2008 Adamski (UK) You can design a fairly reasonable website with this software without having any knowledge of such things. Even web-based payment systems such as 'trolleys' 'baskets' and 'checkouts' can be installed, as can links to payment handlers such as card companies. However, you will still need to get your website online and for that you will need a 'host' and you will have to pay for this service, you will also have to arrange it yourself. This software doesn't actually get your website onto the internet, there are further stages involved which aren't taken care of. Worth exploring if you want a basic, no-frills website and you have no idea how to build one or don't want to pay a designer megabucks, just make sure you realise that you need to do more work afterwards.
Step by step method to simply create web sites with pages November 14, 2008 stephen Luff (Worthing, Sussex United Kingdom) I found the package quite easy to use. The offered templates are quite a few and they look really nice. br /The package offers an easy wizard to get started with. Initially asking for contact details which it then uses to create a page for that. I also like that you can choose your own icon. So when your website comes up it has its own mini icon. The wizard then offers to create your buttons across the page or vertically. I think both ways have their strengths and weaknesses. br /The next stage is where you choose your style of your site. This is the look and feel of the site. Now for each style you are offered 4 different colours. I really like this feature. Its a strength of the templates offered. br /Having chosen your style and colour theme, you are offered the option to customise your banner. It picks up on your details from the opening page of the wizard and drops the website name into the banner. Drop shadows, fonts, font sizes, colours come up to help you match the right text to the banner. br /The wizard then moves on to allow you to drag and drop objects into the page. So this means a text section is an object and an image. It offers a variety of different objects including slide show, flash animations, pure html code and other useful items. br /So step by step one builds the website. There are advanced features available as well, such as an intro page allowing you a language selection. This is similar to when one goes to say the international home page of a brand organisation. Another advanced feature most useful is the shopping cart. This is a step by step process of building your shopping products up, linking up to shipment and payment details, delivery address and so on. Finally one then closes off and tests the site. br /Extra work will be needed to continue adding pages to the site until you have it at a level for exporting to your ftp site.
very impressive, but vague November 12, 2008 J. Henry (London, England) To put it simply, it's very easy to use. You don't need to know much about html or stuff; most of what you do has a 'drag and drop' theme to it, so you hardly ever get confused on what to do. The only thing that's a problem is that once you've finished designing your webpage, you're on your own. It assumes that you know how to load your webpage onto the interet using ftp and so on, which I was completely lost at since I'm not really a computer person anyway. br /Very good with designing, but do your research first before purchasing. Hopefully you'll know what a web hoster is and and ftp address, so you won't feel like you wasted your money.
