Fantastic Book January 6, 2006 Jan Turnbull (UK) 27 out of 27 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my 17 month old daughter as she likes watching Dora on tv. She absolutely loves it as a result of which she can now say all the characters names and knows when to say please, thank you, hello and even knows when she needs to sneeze she has to put her hand over her mouth. She#x27;s played with and requested this book to be read to her so many times that if you stop in the middle of a sentence she says the next word herself! Pages seem a bit thin but are very hard wearing. Highly recommended. Can#x27;t go wrong for #163;2!
Good book; great value February 28, 2005 J. E. Davidson (UK) 44 out of 44 found this review helpful
This is an excellent book, particularly if your child is already familiar with Dora and Boots.pThe story is an explicit morality tale about the importance of saying sorry and being polite. What is particularly good is the way that the book puts the issues in context. Dora and Boots meet the Grumpy Old Troll after he has upset his friend, the mouse and he is now upset. They help him to understand what he must do to rectify the problem and then set off on a journey to the mouse's house. Along the way key words (Sorry, Hello, Thank you, and Please) are introduced in English and Spanish.pHighly recommended
thumbs up from our 4 year old May 21, 2004 Rosemarie Fernandez 39 out of 39 found this review helpful
We love this book and have it as a "regular" in our nightime reading pile. But aside from being fun, it helps put feelings into words. The Troll wants to make-up to his friend the mouse for being "grumpy" and "not very nice". At an age where kids are starting to learn to deal with their new friendships I think they really relate to it. Of course I love the reinforcement of saying "Thank You" and "Please". And the English/Spanish messages are great! I'm looking for more books like this.

He is a very big Dora fan.pI do not think that you can go wrong when you buy this book its only a few pounds and what can you get for a child at that price.pIt has all the usual Dora phrases and friends. He loves doing the swipers oh mann.pI would recommend this book I now read it every day to my son
