Fave Xmas Present January 7, 2008 Richard Cross 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got this as a stocking filler for my 7 year old daughter. It ended up being the most played with toy she got on Christmas day! If only I'd known beforehand I needn't have spent a fortune on all the other presents! br /The wipe clean pad with invisible ink and UV light work well. Only problem is the detachable nibs tend to get detached and left lying around. Batteries were included - that alone probably covered the cost as it was reduced before Chtristmas!
endless hours of amusement.... September 5, 2007 Rose_Noir (Newcastle upon Tyne, england) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
the picture is misleading,it looks kinda fake in "real life". and in the picture the notebook doesn't look like that at all.The notebook has a red cover, and is blue on the inside. However it is a good buy, the black bit on the bottom can either be a black pen or a UV pen for writing on the notepad, so writing is only visible when Sonic is shined on it.But the box is rather big. Overall though, it's great!
Sonic My Screwdriver August 25, 2007 The Doctor (UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I think many people confuse this Electronic Sonic Screwdriver with the LED Torch. The Electronic Sonic Screwdriver is much better; sounds, blue light, movable, durable and practically every Whovian's wish come true. I've had mine for about 6 months or so now and I drop it nearly every time I'm defeating invisible Daleks in my garden; however, only a few chips seem to appear upon it. It's a great piece of merchandise and something every fan should be proud of possessing. After completing this review, I'm off to defeat the Cybermen.
i never knew i needed it till i got it!! August 9, 2007 Laister Fan (Milton, Oxon) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Technically I'm sure this designed for kids, but I couldnt resist!! Subtle enough to go un-noticed by non-Gallifreyers when its sat on the sideboard and enough to make fellow adult geeks smile when they recognise it. Also has served as a tremendous ice-breaker at meetings!! 10/10
Quite possibly the best toy ever June 13, 2007 Andrew Kyle (Glasgow, Scotland) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
I'm far too old for this sort of stuff, and yet...It looks the spitting image of the one in the series, it sounds just like it and it lights up just like it. If i were a betting man i would say they just use the toy on the show and save money on the props. Of course it has no educational value (well...maybe some, it does teach kids about uv light and all that). I admit, i don't play with it like i am sure kids do, i just have it as a symbol of how far my geeky obsession with doctor who really goes. It sits on my windowsill beside my Remembrance Imperial remote Dalek and my TARDIS. For all to see. And i'm 24. So i'm not even being eccentric. Just geeky. I love it!
